The three of us spent two nights at this location for a wedding. Very friendly owner. Interesting location with the animals.There was a kitchen, but a non-functioning dishwasher. We were told it was not included in the description of the property. I got the impression that there was no intention to fix this. For the price we paid per night to stay here we could have stayed in a four star hotel. This was an adequate VBRO.

Lovely stay on active horse ranch

The apartment was super comfortable, large and very well appointed. It is directly above the horse barn, and you can see horses in the corrals all around. An added bonus for me was that a foal was born while I was there! The hosts were very friendly and accommodating.

Weekend run stay

We had a wonderful experience staying at the little apartment above the barn. The animals were beautiful. The owners were friendly and helpful. The place was clean and comfortable. Thank you so much for letting us experience your home.

A lovely weekend

My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property. After meeting the nicest ranch hands, we checked in and were off to having a great weekend. The house was stocked with everything we needed, the beds were comfy and the location was perfect. Looking forward to going back!

Los olivos

Our stay was great ! Very close by to Solvang for those interested in visiting nearby towns.I’ve stayed here multiple times now and feel very safe/comfortable this place is a joy to visit ! welcoming atmosphere all around!

Peaceful stay on a farm

We had a great time! The owners were very responsive to any requests. Wonderful location to restaurants and wineries. Absolutely loved the fresh eggs; beautiful horses and quiet.

Second stay

This place is fantastic. If you love horse, chickens, cows, barn cats, and working ranch experience with a homie rural living vibe this is the place. It’s conveniently located near Solvang with great dining and shopping. Also is near a quirky grocery store for picking up delicious snacks and prepared foods. The hosts are great, and the stay relaxing and easy going.

Horse farm near Los Olivos

My sister and her husband and I had a great stay. It is so peaceful to look out the window and watch the horses and chickens. An added bonus was fresh eggs. This isn't a fancy place, but comfortable and clean, and very well located. Very close to Los Olivos and not far from Solvang. Have recommended this place to friends.

Another great weekend

This is our second time at this wonderful property. The house has everything we needed and we love all of the horses, cats and chickens. The host is responsive and flexible. Don’t be surprised if one of the adorable barn cats wants to come in for a pet and hang out to watch a movie. A charming and lovely place!

Ranch retreat in great location

My friends and I all agreed that our stay was very enjoyable. Between visiting the horses and chickens at the ranch, walking into Los Olivos and the proximity to all the winery's, we had a great time and will be coming back. Everyone was very friendly and helpful at the property.

Beautiful horse property!

Great location and beautiful scenery all around! We had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the accommodations are exactly as listed. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.

Beautiful area

We loved staying here. We will stay again. It is on a farm. Which we all loved and 3 of us are used to farm life. We loved the horses. The house was comfortable, beds are nice. Very clean. Owner, son in law, and the worker on the farm all very very nice. I didn't feel like we didn't have privacy. They all went about their work and when asked them questions they are more than nice. We hope to stay again.

Great Property

What a beautiful property on a working ranch. Everyone we encountered, including the horses and chickens were delightful. Walking distance to town and a very quiet and peaceful experience. We will stay here again. Excellent property and fresh eggs were included.

Vintners Festival

If you love horses, chickens and the outdoors this is the place for you. Los Olivos offers wine tasting venues, coffee shops and some restaurants. Loved the Los Olivos Grocery Store. They have great sushi, fine wine selection, and deli within walking distance.

My 3 Cs - clean, comfortable and convenient. We particularly enjoyed the comfy king sized bed. Good air con. considering it was a heat wave. All our needs were met. Lots of foals. Read the directions to get in!

Fresh Eggs and Horces

This is our second time staying on the property. It’s an easy walk to downtown Los Olivos. And an easier walk to the Los Olivos Gourmet Grocery Store. Winery’s can be found throughout the area. We loved hearing the horses ninny and the chickens cluck. The accommodations are above the horse barn which is very cool. Beds were comfortable and bathrooms had all you needed. We really appreciated all the kitchen towels, fresh eggs, and goodies provided.

Down on the Farm

We had the best time staying at Tiffany and Kevin’s horse ranch. The setting was perfect. The property is situated in a beautiful country setting . Chicken, horses and cats. As animal lovers, it was perfect for us. The unit isn’t fancy but it’s clean and has everything included that you could need. We would highly recommend . The owners were lovely people and helpful with local recommendations!

Working ranch cool vacay

Hosts were wonderful and easy to communicate with. We didn't get to play with the horses but at least they seemed happy to see us every day! Walking distance (1 mile) to Los Olivos. The property was clean, had adequate A/C, and was stocked with everything we needed for our stay. Would recommend!

The little horse barn in Los Olivas

The property was as described, a charming, working horse property with plenty of horses and chickens. Great quiet location and close to both Santa Ynez and Los Olivas.The place could use some TLC, yet everything was clean and functioning properly. In the middle of watching a DVD Saturday night, the power went off suddenly. We lookout the window to the main house and it had power. The host did get the power turned back on. But after that, the DVD would not stay on.

Enchanting Retreat from Daily Life

There is a lot to love about this location. Being surrounded by animals and a quiet neighborhood does wonders for the soul. If you live in or around big cities, try coming out here! Its amazing how much peace you'll find. Communication with the owners is very responsive. Our first night, we ran into a slight problem with the fridge and within 30 minutes or so, everything was fixed! We had the fortunate timing to have ran into some of the ranchers getting ready to ride the horses. Majestic creatures, they are. If you haven't had the chance to see one up close, you'll be in awe by how big even some of the younger stallions are.Can't recommend this enough. 10/10

Unique and amazing place! Horses, cats, chickens, etc. too!

The check in was easy, we loved the beautiful house over a working barn, the ambiance of a true working horse ranch was amazing. Everything inside worked perfectly, and outside was charming, fun and unique. If you like to see incredible and rare horses, this VRBO has to be the best in the world! The ranch is large, and you have it all to yourselves (except for the people taking care of the animals.) Bonus is how close it is to Los Olivos, Solvang, and the Chumash casino. We went to all three.

Special place to stay on a working horse farm

We were delighted to pull into a beautiful working horse farm at the edge of town. It's quiet at night, and dark enough to get a beautiful view of the stars. Super friendly cats! The unit is clean, has everything we needed to cook up a breakfast, and offerred a nice place to rest in between wine tastings. We were lucky enough to see a SpaceX rocket launch from Vandenburg AFB. The hosts are very nice and accommodating. A grocery store/deli is literally a 2 block walk away. We all agreed we would stay here again in a heartbeat!
