5 stars is for the friendly and welcoming front desk staff, This is great Motel 6 in Buellton, clean, simple, working AC and a one block walk to Albertsons and shopping. Please put a camera on the back stairs. 1 mile drive to River View park which is great for dogs and kids, jogging, walking paths River View has large botanical garden with a stream, bathrooms and shady seating.

You know those motels in movies where you have a feeling you'll get stabbed at any moment? Yeah, this is the one. -Cleanliness- I had to ask for a room change because the first one smelled like sewage. The next one was filthy, every sheet smelled like sweat, there was dirt all over the floor, the toilet looked like it hasnt been cleaned in a month and the shower looks like it wasn't cleaned either. I suppose they moved me to a room that wasn't completely turned over. -Amenities- Not like I would have used it, but the pool was dirty and the tables had mold growing on them. -Staff- Staff was really nice and took care of a room change promptly. They also had another person tell them the same thing about the sewage and they helped her out too If I wasn't driving all night and really needed a place to stay, I would have asked to get my money back. I ended up taking my sleeping bag from my car and laying it on top of the bed to sleep. When morning came, I couldn't wait to get out of there, I didn't even use the shower. Would not recommend. It wasn't even cheap.

Beds were comfortable and got a good night's sleep. Cleaning staff needs improvement as the toilet was dirty and wet towels left in bath. No coffee maker or microwave. Only bar soap provided -No shampoo. Its basic but that is likely why the cost is lower than others. A lot of places to eat, get coffee, and food nearby.

This property served our purpose for the night. It was practical and no frills. There was no refrigerator, the bathroom seemed clean but the shower liner had seen better days. The bed was decent and we slept well.
