Comfortable, lovely home

This home is as pictured. The neighborhood is quiet, we felt safe, short drive to restaurants and shops. The furnishings and decor is really nice. Couch, dining table set, and 2 of the 3 beds are comfortable. The bedding and pillows are comfortable. There was everything you might need in the kitchen. Outdoor security cameras with a screen in the house. Parking in the driveway, or street. Check in was easy, a code for the front door. Communication with the host was good. We would stay here again.

Good stay in Santa Maria

Overall, it was a wonderful stay. However, there were small issues. The doors of the dishwasher and the oven interfere each other to disable smooth opening/closing. Absense of lace curtains made us use the sun-blocking curtain even in the day time when the sunlight comes in the room. Use of the bath tub faucet was difficult and took sime time to find how the flow and the temperature are controlled. Detailed instruction on the control should be appreciated by future guests. However, again, the stay was comfortable and a memorable one at a reasonable rate. Thanks.

*Added a star for exceptional response by the property manager and the owner when the (new) coffee maker stopped working. The owner quickly came, picked it up, returned it, and replaced with a new one! Very impressive and much appreciated.Positives: Layout and accommodations were perfect for 5 adults staying 3/4 nights. Comfortable bedding. Adequately supplied kitchen and storage. Spacious master, closet, and large shower. Neighborhood setting. Looks recently renovated with flooring, kitchen, and paint. Nice countertops and furniture. Quiet except for occasional dog barking. Private parking space. A Britta in the fridge and 10 coffee pods were appreciated.Negatives: Our stay was tainted however by the plumbing issues and some minor issues. Hot water took forever to get to faucets, especially in master bathroom (like 10 minutes). NO water pressure (it was a dribble) from shower in either bathroom. Toilet in master bathroom made horrendous noise when flushed. To be fair, these issues were not brought to the attention of the PM or owner because we were only staying the weekend, but really? I can't imagine these are new. Also minor issues - iron did not work, no flooring in the garbage closet (former hot water heater closet), dishwasher door interferes with the oven door so cannot be opened all the way. Overall it worked for us but the house needs attention and not having a hot shower was pretty bad. I thought a good value when booked. Not so much.
