"Room directly overlooking palm trees and the beach. You can hear the waves crashing with the door open. Staff was outstanding and room was very clean. The furnishings could use a bit of updating, but was adequate."

"The hotel was under significant construction for the entire duration of our stay. From around 10am until approximately 8pm there were jackhammers and loud construction noise throughout the property, which made it very difficult to relax or enjoy the hotel. During our stay the elevator was temporarily out of service, which meant guests had to walk up several flights of stairs to access different parts of the property, including the beach. On some occasions the usual stair access was closed, which meant guests had to pass through areas of the building that were clearly part of the construction zone, with debris and broken materials on the ground. The hotel was also quite empty during our stay, yet when we asked about moving rooms we were told it would cost an additional $75 per night. To be fair, we did not specifically check for construction notices before booking. However, after the issue came up we looked on the hotel’s website and could not find any clear notice explaining that the property was undergoing major construction or that key facilities might be temporarily unavailable. The staff themselves were friendly and helpful and were clearly doing their best, so this is not a criticism of them. However, the property in its current condition does not offer the experience most guests would reasonably expect when booking a hotel stay."

"I stayed in both an Adult/Executive and a Standard room. The former had more features along with a direct ocean view, but my Standard room was fine too. With a sideways view of the ocean. Both were very clean. The staff, in all cases, were wonderfully helpful, polite and cheerful. "

"Great location, however the property is old and shows it, the people were great and we had a good time. Main issue was the lack of water both hot and cold at the highest floor. Banisters are rusted through in places, hot tub was not. "

"Too bad the rooftop pool didn’t open their bar and grill but the options to eat and drink outside the hotel are numerous. The staff was great and always helpful. "

" The Pool was a nice place we sat in the courtyard but we didnt use the pool. Overall we enjoyed our stay and recommend this hotel to experience an authentic mexico and not the commercialized inclusive hotels. This hotel was the best choice for what we wanted to experience. Totally enjoyed ourselves here. Mucho Gracias to the staff and would definitely return here."
