The room clean and and the pub downstairs is really nice, especially food. It would be good though if they could serve breakfast in the pub but it doesn’t open early enough. It’s a nice area although a little rough around the edges.

Lovely neighbourhood. Friendly staff in the pub which was under the rooms. The pub and townhouse are owned by the same person. It appears to be a family run business.

This is a beautiful property. It appears to have been recently renovated, and the workmanship was superb. The staff at the pub downstairs were welcoming. We'd definitely stay here again!

Very pleasant boutique lodgings for a budget price. The bedroom had beautiful wood-panelling while the bathroom looked brand new. Nice touches like daily glass bottles of mineral water. The property felt secure thanks to a touchpad entry system and the friendly bar staff let me store my luggage after checkout. Although the rooms are above a pub, it's not a partially raucous one and it closes at 11pm, so noise didn't cause an issue for sleeping.

Located in a quiet residential area a short walk/tube to King's Cross. Friendly staff and easy check in. Well decorated and spacious room for London. Surface clean but carpet and deeper area need attention. Bed comfy. Some towels fraying and rough - need replacement. Just needs a little attention but otherwise a great value find in central London.

What a fabulous place. A wonderful clean and spacious room, with a comfortable bed and great shower. The food in the pub is first class. The area is lovely and quiet. I will definitely stay there again.

Fantastic stay. Was looking for somewhere just outside of the city centre which was nicer than the awful travelodges and premier inns. This was a fantastic little treat. Beautiful clean, comfortable room which was nice and roomy. Nice quiet little suburb too. Had dinner at the pub which was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

The Hanbury townhouse was amazing! Super comfy bed, very clean room, beautiful bathroom and considering we were in London it was very quiet! It was a very hot week when we visited but the Dyson fan in our room was so useful and kept us very cool, which is a huge added bonus as we find lots of hotels are uncomfortably hot. On arrival the staff were friendly and attentive despite being busy. We stayed for one evening as we were attending a concert nearby at Union Chapel and it was perfect for our stay. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation. Best place I’ve ever stayed in London.

Beautiful room in a great location.

Friendly, efficient welcome from staff and a beautiful room. We didn't experience any disturbance from the pub as some other reviewers have. Great location within easy walking distance of Upper Street. Would definitely return.
