Staff were very friendly and ready to resolve any need or issue quickly and discretely. Wanted to thank the manager that changed me to an even lovelier room when I encountered noise neighbors. Location is just unbeatable with great shopping, pubs and restaurants all on your doorstep. Will hopefully stay again soon.

The hotel is a lovely old building. Some rooms have air conditioning, others do not, so if you really want air conditioning you should request it up front. The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Their main restaurant was closed for remodeling but they had a smaller place where you could get breakfast and other meals.

Wonderful, Classic 200 year-old property. Excellent Concierge, magnificent location across from Wallace Museum, and steps from outstanding boutique shopping. Very nice breakfast included. Room was adequate, but modest—nothing luxurious here, but bathroom was nicely updated.

A good value for your money

The Durrants is a lovely hotel in Marleybone. An upscale neighborhood of London. It has good restaurants and shops nearby. The bus is very close and the underground is about a 15 minute walk. It takes at least 20 minutes of walking to get to most of the major attractions in London.

Okay but could be better

Great location, great pillows and mattress, nice toiletries. Lacked in space, bathroom was a little dated and rough around the edges. Not enough plugs and tea and coffee making facilities were poor. At £300 a night I expect fresh milk, more than two coffee pods and some biscuits! Great location for Hyde Park

It all depends on the room you get. Some rooms are charming while others are dismal and claustrophobic and dated. Small closets and no dressers so you may need to live out of suitcase(s). We had one charming room with high ceilings and two large windows for first half of our trip, but they gave us a different room when we returned for the tail end of our trip. The second room was smaller with low ceilings and one small window. It felt dismal and claustrophobic.
