"Friendly staff, great location with plenty of restaurants to choose from. The room was perfect, clean and cozy with a very comfortable bed. Only negative is that I was expecting continental breakfast of some kind but none provided. No free coffee in the lobby, has to be purchased in their little concession area. "

"This must have been a grand hotel once. It is long in the tooth and in need of a renovation. Besides the wall-mounted body wash and shampoo, there were no other bathroom amenities. We stayed for three nights, and room service was hit-or-miss. Very haphazard refreshes. We didn't get the washcloths returned, and the towels felt like sandpaper. The coffee station wasnt replenished either. They just dropped towels and made the bed. Broken security locks and worn out furnature. The one plus is the proximity to the airport. The $10-a-night parking fee was ridiculous. To top it off, there was a conference with hundreds of screaming teenagers. I wish I had known about that in advance. I would have stayed elsewhere. "

"We had to move from another hotel to the Hawthorn inn due to horrible conditions at the first hotel. The Hawthorn was night and day difference! So clean and safe feeling, and very convenient while traveling with two small dogs. Staff was friendly, rooms were immaculate and comfortable, and it was very convenient to downtown. "
