"Reasonably priced hotel very well situated right next to departures at Gatwick airport South terminal. Good for one night if you have an early morning flight. But the cheapest windowless rooms are tiny; no space to walk all around the bed! The photos on the website only show the higher priced rooms."

I was here for a conference, but the room service was so top-tier that I may have spent more time with the breakfast menu than my actual notes. "We had the most incredible experience at this hotel! We picked it to be close to the water within our budget and it did not disappoint. When we arrived, the man at reception upgraded us to a sea view room as a surprise! The room was big and clean and the proximity to the waterfront is unmatched. It’s about a ten minute walk from the Lanes and the Pier but being a waterfront walk we didn’t mind it in the slightest. This is the only place we plan to stay in Brighton moving forward."

"Our key concerns re the property: - We may have missed it when we confirmed our booking, but when we arrived we found there was a GBP 12.00 parking charge. This seems very high given the cost of the room. - The room was unbearably hot, and even after adjusting the thermostat it stayed hot all night. - The room smelled like it had previously been a smoking room; it was very musty. - Finally, we had dinner in the restaurant and it was appalling. *My son ordered a pizza, and even though it was only 7ish pm, they had run out of pizzas. *I ordered a steak; it was GBP32 on the menu, and came out cold and overcooked. *My husband ordered a burger; the patty was the size of a beef slider, and was so overcooked he actually had to use a steak knife to cut it. Also on the burger was one slice of tomato, and one slice of lettuce. It was shocking for the price, particularly as it was almost inedible. I will say the service in the restaurant was very friendly, but the food was terrible. The ibll for the steak, two burgers, two glasses of wine, and a non-alco' beer was GBP 99.00. "
