Wow, we have always wanted to stay in a Castle and we were lucky enough to have the Dalhousie room. Large 4 poster bed (very comfy) and a room you could swing 10 cats in.
Had a great bath which set us up for a fantastic meal in the Dungeon.
Spent time walking around the grounds and visiting the Hawks and Owls. There is an area to test your Archery skills as well.
If you are looking for an out there experience try this fantastic castle

Great location in the old town. Staff were amazing, helpful and happy. Rooms were exceptionally comfortable and included breakfast was brilliant. Meals were good and outside deck for an afternoon drink very enjoyable. Would definitely stay here again - been travelling for 7 weeks and best property we have stayed at.

The Roseate was a beautiful property and the staff were excellent. We felt welcome as soon as we arrived and had no issues with parking, baggage or settling in.
The location was adjacent to bus services into Edinburgh city centre and within walking distance to train services, convenience stores and cafes / pubs etc.
We would thoroughly recommend a stay at the Roseate if you are headed to Edinburgh
