Picton Harbour Inn

Picton Harbour Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Literally everything about this hotel was perfect. The communication with the hotel prior to check-in and during our stay was excellent. Our room was clean and comfortable and serviced everyday. The AC was A-1! Important when it's 38 degrees with the humidity. It's very conveniently located and we had a gorgeous view. The Lighthouse Restaurant, which is attached, serves the best breakfast ever and everyone there is sweet as pie! The Picton Harbour Inn could teach a master class in customer service. I would absolutely stay at this hotel again. Two notes: there isn't a pool and make sure you ask for a ground floor room if you have mobility issues. Other than that, perfection!"

Designer Comfort in a Country Home!

Designer Comfort in a Country Home!

8/10 Good
"I stayed for two nights with my two sisters and overall had a great time. Deirdre was a wonderful host – very sweet, welcoming, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The interior of the cottage was beautiful, clean, and felt very high-end. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated having an easy-to-use barbecue, which made for a great evening meal. The exterior of the property could use some attention. The lawn needed mowing and there were branches with tent caterpillars hanging over the parking area that should be trimmed back. Our only significant complaint was the water. When we arrived, Deirdre let us know that one of the filtration systems wasn’t functioning properly. Unfortunately, the rotten egg smell was almost unbearable. Although we were told the water was safe to use, we stopped using it after the first day and purchased bottled water for drinking, brushing our teeth, and washing up. We kept the bathroom door closed to prevent the smell from spreading into the main living area and bedrooms, and after spending a day at Sandbanks, we chose to shower at one of the comfort stations there instead.Despite the water issue, we still enjoyed our stay. The host was excellent, and the home itself was lovely and comfortable. Once the water filtration system is repaired and the exterior tidied up, this would be an easy place to recommend."
