"Comfortable, Pet friendly. Don't plan on being able to use the dock as the walkway going to it is in disrepair and you have to climb an incline to even get to the shore because there are no stairs."

"This is a great property for a multi-generational get together. We were there for Clemson graduation. The house has great areas for getting together in group fashion. The house is semi-rustic but very comfortable. If we ever have to be in the area again, I will not hesitate to rent it."

"Home was clean and lovely. The property is very relaxing and the setup was great for a weekend away. We would stay here again! One bedroom and one bathroom do not have doors which was a bit challenging for privacy, but we were able to work around."

"Everything was just what you'd want a lake cottage to be. Newly renovated with a great design for fun and function. We were super happy about the basket of blankets...the mornings were chilly. The porch is set up to enjoy the surroundings in screened in comfort. Watch TV, nap on the swing, read on the couch. Really appreciated being able to bring our ShihTzu with us as she's family. Thank you for sharing your vacation getaway with us!"

"All of the amenities were very clean, especially the dock, porches, and hot tub. It was super helpful to have all the supplies we needed – ice was made, there were extra basic seasonings, coffee, filters, dish, and laundry detergent; no need to bring extra cleaning products. Fully stocked with lifejackets and games for both kids and adults. You don’t need to bring entertainment options. Paddle boat was already in the water, but you really need 2 able-bodied adults to move the canoes and kayaks down to the lake. Located in VERY SAFE private cove if you don’t want to venture into high boat traffic. Tons of birds made for a beautiful dawn chorus!"

"We enjoyed the house, it was clean and well stocked and comfortable. We spent a lot of time on the patio as the weather was perfect. The town of Hartwell is nice too. The only negative was the that the lake level is very low and there is not the water views shown in the pictures for the rental and the grounds needed some clean up. Being from Indiana we did not know about the low lake level, it would have been nice to have know that. We would recommend the rental to others. We appreciated the washer and dryer, nice dishes and silverware. The grill worked great too. There were four adults in our family. "
