Hong Kong’s biggest mall, several of its five-star hotels and some of its most impressive skyline views can all be found in this glitzy shopping district.

Window-shop along dazzling strips of designer stores in one of the wealthiest districts in Hong Kong. Called the “world bazaar on the waterfront”, Tsim Sha Tsui’s multiple streets of boutiques, hotels and office buildings are located in the southern part of the Kowloon peninsula.

Start out on Nathan Road, where shopkeepers and restaurant owners vie for your attention. Nicknamed the “Golden Mile”, Nathan Road is rich with luxury items and electronics beckoning from vendor stalls, locally owned boutiques and brand-name stores. Malls abound as well, like Harbour City, the largest mall in Hong Kong, which features more than 450 stores.

Visit Canton Road where you’ll find some of the most impressive designer label outlets in town. The Louis Vuitton outlet here is one of the largest in Asia, and Chanel’s flagship Asian store can be found here as well. After you’ve exhausted Canton Road, explore The One, an air-conditioned mall with top-of-the-line brands from around the world.

Overlook Victoria Harbour from a waterside bar or restaurant on the east side of Tsim Sha Tsui. Watch boats slowly make their way through the bay as you rest after a busy day of shopping.

Find one of the modern district’s only historic landmarks at the Tsim Sha Tsui Promenade, which is crowned by a colonial-era Clock Tower. Look across the harbour from the promenade for one of the best skyline views.

If you’re looking for luxury accommodation, the Tsim Sha Tsui area is home to several five-star hotels. The Hong Kong Space Museum and the Hong Kong Museum of Art lie nearby, so this district serves as an excellent gateway to the city’s attractions.

Reach Tsim Sha Tsui via the Star Ferry, which docks near the promenade. Otherwise, take the MTR to Tsim Sha Tsui station.

Breakfast was a buffet and was fine. However we had to queue two days in a row on the weekend to be seated and ended up being taken to an overflow area with limited buffet options. Not acceptable in a 5 star hotel at the price we were paying per night!
