The best hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were exceptional as were the facilities and restaurants of the hotel. You could not ask for a more beautiful view. The sun sets were sensational. Couldn’t recommend it enough.

We asked for the cleaning but wasn't done or only partially done. I believe this kind of service does not match a high-end resort. And the staff should remind people that the cart ride can be dangerous.

Great stay overall. It's very picturesque anywhere in the property. Staff was great, the room's view was perfect for sunset watching, and our room was always kept clean (in the morning and they return again in the evening). Impressed with management as well since they were so hands on - you will see them roaming around the property to actually help clean tables and even drive the buggy for the guests. Breakfast buffet as also good with a diverse selection. The spa service was also amazing. The stay was almost perfect. The only thing we did not like was the in room villa dining. Restaurant food was decent but the villa dining's food quality was terrible! Carbonara we ordered was dry and the fries were stale. You also have to wait for 1 hour for the food to arrive. Time it well as you might miss the sunset like we did. Location is also far from everything so it's inconvenient to go out and eat.

For the villa grill dinner, only chef and waiter should stay there for duration of the dinner. The other helpers should leave and come back to clean once the dinner is finished.

Absolutely fantastic. Highly recommend. The view is stunning! We upgraded to the ocean view for a little more but I think it’s definitely worth it because (from what we can see from our pool) the base rate rooms seem to have many trees/bushes In front of their infinity pool blocking the view. The staff here are fantastic and extremely accommodating - super polite and friendly. The only downfall would probably be that due to the remote location of the resort, if you want to go anywhere outside the resort, I imagine it would be quite difficult and inconvenient (perhaps also expensive) if you did not have a car. We had hired a car from the airport as we knew we could be driving out of the resort every day that we stayed and the car hire for 4 days was about $200 AUD so it was not too much more. Nonetheless, a fantastic resort.. with an amazing view... worth the splurge!

My family andI had a staycation at Conrad and they were extremely accommodating to our 7 month old infant. They provided all of our baby necessities and made our stay as comfortable as possible. The service and staff were excellent and the view was spectacular from our room! We especially loved the singer/performer at the bar.

Conrad resorts was the best resorts whr we stayed till date in terms of location and view.. it's just ultimate.. no words to describe the view offered from the villa. Hospitality was also excellent, made our days so pleasing. Only down side was food. We are not fully happy with the bfast spread or the lunch or in-room dining menu. But to be frank the room and the view makes us forget all that.. definitely we will suggest Conrad to others if they are in samui. Thankyou..

Pros: Amazing views, nice rooms Cons: Overpriced restaurants (even for in-resort dining) that you have to eat at as the resort is located far away from other dining options. Stayed here and the Tongsai bay. Had a much more enjoyable experience overall at the Tongsai Bay though the views/room size here were nicer.

I liked The cleanliness, the view from the villas, and that they provide free activities like kayak, snorkeling and a boat trip to a near island. What I didn’t like is the price. Also, the location it is really far from the airport and the city and the transportation is expensive.

Had a great time with the unbeatable view, definitely will come back. However there was lack of choice of food in the breakfast esp. at such price; there was only one running machine in the gym room and guests had to wait for using it; too bad that the weather didn't allow us to go for the complimentary boat trip during our stay.

Completely secluded
So the property is beautiful and rooms are to die for and views are amazing it is beautiful . However if you want to do anything you have a very long taxi ride at min 1500 baht to anything. This included restaurants. There are only two here with ok quality of food and very over priced. Better quality at the markets. Also they have a top 5 rated Thai restaurant that has an extreme dress code therefore even though we paid an enourmous price to stay here we were not allowed to dine there due to flip flops - we had appropriate clothes on ( collar shirt and dress shorts and a dress which was not a sundress) it was not having heels and or dress shoes we were turned away. Entertainment only occurs three days a week other than the fitness classes. The highlight was the complimentary boat tour to snorkel and swim on the near by islands. We were in Thailand for two weeks and wanted to treat ourselves near the end of our stay and were highly dissatisfied and disappointed. Lastly, patience is important with other guests here. How they treated staff and other guests was sad and rude. Kind manners and Common curtesy was lacking from some guests. Save your money it’s seriously and honestly not worth the hype. We are still kicking ourselves in the butt for staying here.

Hotel with excellent seaview
Upon arrival check-in was fuss free and quick. The view from reception is breathtaking. As all the villas are built along a cliff, a buggy is needed to get around. Staff were friendly and rooms were clean with huge bathtub. The cabana at the pools were old and looks dirty. The hotel also offers bus trips to city center and a boat ride for short snorkeling session.

I was choosing between the W hotel and Conrad and ultaimtely decided on the Conrad because of private villa pool. It is a very beautiful hotel. Cute buggies to transport you to pool and to front desk. We booked the suite with a private pool. In the pictures, the view is an unobstructed view of the ocean. However the room we got, had the ocean view blocked by multiple trees. We complained about the pool as we had booked the "ocean view" room on expedia and the pictures clearly show the room with ocean view. The staff advised that the room without the view of the trees was at an additional cost. I felt misled by the pictures and I spoke to the manager. They changed our room the next day to the ocean view one so I was happy the manager corrected that; I am sure they have received numerous complaints this already. The hotel is very nice however it is VERY secluded- to drive to the city was a 40 minute drive and some cab drivers wouldn't even drive us back to the hotel stating it was too far. It costs us $50 US per way everyday. It is also up a winding road so we couldn't rent scooters. Stay here if you do not want to leave the hotel at all. But if you want to explore and go to Chewang Market, it is very far. My boyfriend and I are a young couple, so we found it too quiet for our liking and too far from literally everything. Would not stay here again due to location. Also be prepared to pay extra for the ocean view you think you are booking.

Nice hotel but too far from everything
For a international 5 star standard some things the hotel does not fit into this caregiory for the price charged per night: The coffee cups and wine glasses not international standard Hotel a bit run down in some parts, I can see pool edges are rusting and roof awning peeling, poolside chairs are dirty and stained and there is always a unpleasant smell breezing in the resort. The food within the resort is way too pricy and does not taste good comparing to other 5 star resorts I’ve experienced In Thailand. Resort is also a bit far from everything. Overall I wouldn’t recommend it, with the same price you can get a much better experience elsewhere.

The room was not available to check in until 4:30 and the luggage arrived at 5pm. Waited for 2 hours Always forgot what had been ordered. The beach was so small and couldn’t swim.

Awesome room with a view but lacks a beach
Excellent resort. Villa is simply awesome and hence when you pay the extra price best to utilise it to the max. What will irritate you is the buggies to transfer across property are hard to find and one has to wait 15-25 min from the time you decide to move. Resort does not have a beach worth talking. The pic in their resort profile is digitally enhanced and not true. Still worth a experience to stay here.

Being a diamond member, my expectation would be little bit more demanding, the room overall is very good, the wifi is expected to be improved, the audio and system of radio channel is not user friendly, the spa is reasonable good, one thing impressed me most is the Jahn restaurant service. I still will recommend friend to stay here for leisure.

Exceptional views and fab villa
This place is all about the view from your villa, you really don't want to be anywhere but your villa. Service was good, in-room media system was the best I have come across in a while with access to the internet etc via a wireless keyboard and the wifi and internet was pretty good. It is a little bit of a pain to get out of the resort if you want to go out for dinner etc. but it was the end of our trip and we were probably being lazy. Just note, that it is a trek/more effort to get transport to Chaweng and other main areas in Koh Samui compared to other hotels on the island, but you just couldn't have the fabulous views without the hotel being in the location it is in.

The property is breathtaking and the villas truly gorgeous. We were only disappointed with the service, which hugely impacted our view of this resort. A few examples include forgetting to deliver our food orders (a few times), room getting cleaned late everyday(and only after we called at 3pm!) and many other incidences. If it was a 3 star resort , then fine....but a five star resort should train its staff better. We had dinner at the six senses and could see the contrast of what a real five star should be like.

Admittedly spoiled
Admittedly, our stay at the Conrad was preceded by one of the best experiences we've ever had at a hotel or resort. We had just come from Point Yamu by Como in Phuket which was flawless and otherworldly. I think this really influenced our view of the Conrad. Having said that, there were still many things that contributed to our lack of enthusiasm for our villa and more so the resort as a whole. As many have said you go here for the villa which we agree does have breathtaking views and a gorgeous private pool. Other than that though everything else left something to be desired. The property feels MUCH older than its four years of operation. I won't list all of the things that made it feel this way, because i don't want to sound obnoxious. The thing is, when you are paying that much for a room and you've just experienced something far better for the same price, it feels more justified to point those things out. Overall, we felt the property lacked any character or heart and is operating with an attitude that as long as they do the bare minimum, the views/location will do the rest. Our opinion was, that when you've been entrusted with a location that stunning, that management should honor that gift with a superior level of pride and service. Unfortunately, what we experienced felt like the bare minimum.
