This property was a treat to stay in, especially for the price. The traditional futons made for a quiet, relaxing evening before a busy day of touring Fujiyoshida. I was a huge fan of the wood floor bathroom and wooden bathtub as well. I would recommend spring or summer stays, as the traditional construction means it will be quite cold in the winter, but it was a lovely stay and I would recommend this to anyone visiting Mt. Fuji.
This lodging is unsafe and unhealthy. The wood walls and floors in the shower room were rotted and covered in black mold. The stool in the shower was so rotted it broke. There are nails sticking up from the floor. The property description is inaccurate. There is no restaurant Café bar. We arrived in the evening and were directed to a grocery store an 40 minute walk away. There is no spa, there is no garden and the pictures do not accurately represent the property. There was no laundry facilities. When we tried to communicate with the property owner to check out early, they would not respond to us or to Expedia.
Struttura non corrispondente a quanto visto in foto. Finestre cieche.
The place has potential and its very cute idea to make a mountain hut for this area. However, its missing a few important things, such a proper windows and walls therefore they use gas heaters to heat up but its unhealthy and dangerous. We all ended up with major headaches due to lack of oxygen. It also was quite cold during our stay, so we needed the heater all the time during indoor stay. No hooks on any wall, so nowhere to put your coat/Jackets, or dry your used towels. Staff are friendly and will accommodate your most basic needs, tho no WiFi
A bit hard to find if you arrive after their check-in hours, however their staff was nice enough to leave the door unlocked and came right away after we got in and gave them a ring.
Beautiful place to stay. The owner speaks broken English, but for this area it is a nice rarity. Make sure to call about a meal at ふじさん牧場-Fujiboku. It's a sheep farm across the street from the cabin. We didn't know they had this option until we arrived.
There's a street in front of this cabin but it didn't bother us city dwellers.
The staff here really treats you well. They offered us a free ride into Oshino, and gave us a post-it in Japanese saying "Help, we don't speak Japanese, please call *this number*". We didn't need it but that was very thoughtful of them.
We also didn't know the water inside the house comes from old Mt. Fuji underground water reservoir. Supposedly has magical properties. I don't believe in it but its free and I didn't get sick from it.
If you like nature, and want to experience Japans nature, here you go.
Domek prawie idealny. Prawie bo dość ciężko do niego dojść. :(
