The staff is clearly well-trained in managing large crowds, and for those seeking a high-energy vacation club environment, this may be a dream. The Service Experience However, my experience was deeply disappointing. We booked this stay to break up a long journey from Thailand and New Zealand and to mark our 40th wedding anniversary. After a grueling red-eye flight, we were looking for the resort experience one expects at this price point. Instead, we felt "trapped" in a perpetual sales pitch. When we sought technical assistance with the resort’s app at the welcome desk, we weren't given a solution; instead, we were met with a misleading high-pressure invitation to a timeshare presentation. I would never have booked this location had it been clearly disclosed that the priority here is timeshare sales rather than guest relaxation. Dining & Health Issues The logistical hurdles with the app meant we missed out on reservations for the main restaurant. We turned to the pool grill, where I ordered a BBQ sandwich that arrived dry and burnt. Regrettably, I ate it anyway—an error that cost me the next two days of my trip due to illness. Final Verdict While the property is physically beautiful, the "hotel food" warnings I received were an understatement, and the aggressive sales culture ruined it."

"The room was clean with a very, very comfortable bed. Check in and out was easy. Staff were polite and helpful. The lady who checked us in was so courteous and pleasant. She suggested places to see. It was overall a fabulous experience. "

"Do not use fall for this scam! We rented 3 bedroom (as advertised) and paid a crazy amount but did because we thought our family would all be together and we wanted to stay at the Marriot Ko Olina. I did not hear anything on how to check in keys etc, so before we were to get on plane I messaged the host Ana Villobos what is the check in procedure and that is when she told me that we would be in a two bedroom and a one bedroom and the two bedroom would have to switch to a different tower in the middle of our 3 night stay! I replied back that is not what we thought we wanted that we wanted to be together as a family. She said the assign rooms at the front desk. So we got to the marriot after a long flight and exhausted wanting to check in and told them what we paid for the 3 bedroom and the said they didn't have any and they were going to put us in 1 bedroom and one 2 bedroom across hall but next day would have to switch 2 bedroom to completely different tower. We then were told that we needed to give a credit card for the room nightly rate. We were told that the rooms were not paid for??? Even though it was already charged on are credit card before we got there! We showed front desk the charge on our credit card already. Tried calling the Vrbo with no luck, called the Ana villobos person and no answer. Also texted her. She replied for us to use your card and she would reimburse us at the end of stay??husband spent two days of vacation working on it:/so frustrating "
