"When I came into the hotel and was given my room key, the first thing I noticed was the smell of dampness in the room. The carpet had burned marks all over it and stains and in places was missing carpet and built bar floor. The wallpaper was torn off the walls. The room was filthy dirty had not been cleaned and full of dust and dirt smoked disgusting so did the toilet and shower. There was sick and vomit on the side of the wall dried in there are multiple stains on the roof on the walls of the hotel room and over the bed. The mattress was completely filthy. Looked about 20 years old. I would not let a dog sleep in the room or even a cat the heating was switched off and did not work because of the pipework had been leaking. They were visible. Water stains all over the floor. All of the paint was peeling off the walls and ceilings and there was black mould on the windows of the hotel room. I went straight back to the hotel front desk and said the room is nothing like the ones in your photographs and I was told the hotel had not been redone for a long time and they know there is issues with the hotel and they’re trying to upgrade some of the rims when they can afford to do it however this is just the way their rooms are right now I asked and demanded to be moved to a different room. I was then shown another room which was even worse there is no elevator in the hotel room a lot of stairs and the hotel room smells of cigarettes and dogs and there was rubbish all through the hallwa"

"The staff were top notch, the room was clean but the carpets were very stained. All things being equal we were out late and left early. And slept well. Don’t run low on fuel there, the gas station close to it is 30 cents more a gallon than driving 2 miles towards the closest town. "

"Hotel is in a great location and all the staff were excellent. Breakfast was decent. Pool was clean and easily accessible The rooms are tired and require a refurbishment the gaps in the window allowed road noise and a draft to the room, cupboard door handles are secured primitively with wood screws and the bedside electric socket did not work. "We were happy with our room apart from it said it was a king, and it was only a double bed. I never find them very comfortable to share. The history of the pub, breakfast room, location and parking were all appreciated. We would recommend it."
