"This motel is an excellent value (considering Hawaii prices). The room was comfortable with a nice TV and cable package in a great location, a block from Hilo Hattie's with several restaurants, cafes, and fast-food places nearby. Just a mile from the airport. I actually walked back to the airport the next day to rent a car. "

"Friendly & responsive staff, strong Aloha spirit. However, the place is dated, ie still popcorn ceilings. Need pest control (roaches), asked us to take shoes off but floor carpet felt uncomfortably moist, couldn’t really decide the cleanness of carpet due to color, bathroom smells odd, slippery bathtub, low shower pressure. The room itself needs air freshener. No beach towels, they supply only bath towels 1/person no extras. You have to exchange if you want new ones. Low quality paper towels,...
