"Very unique home nestled in the rain forest added to our enjoyment of an authentic Hilo experience. You feel like you’re staying in the middle of the jungle with the sounds of wildlife all around you. As other reviews have said, the sound of frogs and other animals at night can be very loud. We didn’t mind it at all but if you’re a light sleeper you might want to bring ear plugs or a sound machine. The location was halfway between the National Park and Hilo (about 20 to 30 minutes to either) and was perfect for multiple trips to the National Park. We were fortunate to watch the volcano erupt during our night visit to the park which was unforgettable!"

"Well organized and fully equipped with everything from emergency first aid kit to flashlight, sunscreen to coolers, wide array of kitchen tools were great in case needed. We enjoyed the veranda seating and the proximity to the community center where we spent 3 days intensive lauhala weaving. Conveniently located for our needs. Mahalo Nui loa."

"There are some positives to this rental. It was extremely clean. As well, the property manager was very helpful.However, the kitchenette facilities were very poor. I knew there was no stove, but there was so much lacking, including no toaster or kettle. I rent these types of accommodations for the use of kitchen facilities. If they are not adequately stocked, it is really not worth it. "

"We stayed here because it is close to family. It is a great spot for those who want an affordable place to see Hawaii. The host lives onsite and is available when needed, but not intrusive. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you Jonas and Hannah. "
