"Excellent location with balcony overlooking the city, bay and Marina. Excellent breakfast. Room was a very good size and comfortableand cleaning staff retained excellent standards. Only downside was the restaurant backyard was closed and is now a completely different restaurant. The hotel advised me that it had been relocated the day before I was due to fly. They offer a few of the dishes from the backyard menu out by the swimming pool but not the whole menu. Also the pool eating area closes at 8pm and there is no one else within the hotel to get a drink from after 8.There are plenty of eating places nearby and my favourite was Miss Chief Asian tapas. I did try the new backyard and was surprised for a 5 star hotel that the pizza came in a box. Not 5 star dining"

"The breakfast was comprehensive, fresh and delicious and the staff were hospitable, efficient and polite. My room was clean and comfortable plus had a lovely view over the adjacent marina, water and nearby forested hinterland."

"Cairns plaza hotelnis a 3 star hotel but I wi rate as 4 star definately. Very clean, stuff is friendly. Thannks to Lyv, the receptionist, she has been amazing and very helpful! Makes guests really feel welcome:) one negative thing onky are the matresses are very uncomfortable. But if needed I will definately come back to Cairns Plaza hotel again."

"The pool area is great. Did not find it very clean. Front desk staff were super kind and helpful. Comfortable beds. Shutters don’t 100 percent close so kinda bright."
