"The place was amazing. Very roomy with modern amenities in a traditional style Japanese apartment. The location is perfect in the area you want to be and close to train and bus transportation. We had some confusion with the instructions which indicated that we had to go to a separate location to check in. That cost us stress and some time but it got settled. They need to update their instruction page if they haven't already. You just go straight to the property and use the keypad."

"Wow!! What a special place. Our favorite accommodation on our trip to Japan. The small streets and alleys are so charming and being next to the Yasaka Pagoda is incredible. Head out early in the morning before the crowds and it's magical to walk around, especially with the cherry blossoms blooming. The alley way to walk down to house is small and it feels like a secret place to stay! Perfect location to explore Gion area and head up to Kiyomizu-dera. We were only in Kyoto for one night and...

"Good experience to stay in traditional Japanese house.clean and kitchen well equipped. Washing machine was convenient. Due to it being an older building, insulation isn’t very good and gets very cold in the winter and need heaters in all rooms. Location is not great as it is walking distance to most places. Bus stop 7 minute walk. Could have provided more furniture such as chairs. Overall nice experience besides being on the cold side."

"We travelled as a family of 4 with 2 young adults. They thought it was real cool place. It had authentic character and we liked the tatami rooms and mats. We also liked that we had the place to ourselves. It felt liked we lived in Kyoto and walked in the back alley to our home. It was great to have more space than a hotel room. Good quiet central location and close to transit and those popular convenience stores. The experience here was memorable as much as sight seeing in Kyoto. Enjoyable!"

"I had an incredibly memorable stay at this property! The owner checked us in at our designated time and was very friendly, helpful and informative. The home itself was beautiful, spacious and clean. I enjoyed the tea set that was put for us to try. I felt so relaxed at this place. The location of this property is a 3 min walk from bus stops and right next to the famous sight spots of Kyoto.
