Oceanfront Sunsets in heart of Kona

Located on the oceans edge and in the center of Kona, sits this resort style condo with a bohemian feel, it has all the amenities on Alii drive. The condo has its own tidal pool to swim and snorkel and launch kayaks from when the waves are calm. Fishing from the shore is also allowed. A/c in livingroom and bedroom.

Beautifully landscaped and offers some of the best sunsets and ocean views. Our recently renovated condo/lanai sits directly facing the ocean. You can even sit inside on the couch and see the ocean from it, we make every attempt to NOT exaggerate the pictures. Relax with the pool, hot tub, ping pong or tennis. There is also a small library of shared books. The grounds itself is 5 stars... Think botanical garden.

The community BBQ grills are 20 feet from the ocean. Perfect placement! This unit has NO stairs to get to it, free parking and parking lot is 15 feet from the front door and condo is on ground floor. No stairs. .

Electric bike rental rack across the street and we are hoping the $2 trolley is back that picks up out in front of the condo. Internet search for most current info and schedule of trolley. It's less than 1 mile to the heart of Kona restaurants and bars, so walking is easily an option.

Need a coffee shop in the morning? Green Flash coffee is right next door.

King sized bed in bedroom, and it does have a pull out queen bed as well.

My family like this condo! This place is well stocked with almost everything you need when you travel with children. Kitchen, bathroom, laundry, bedroom, stuff for beach. Feels like home. The owner put notes on the walls, and it is so easy for the stay. Owner is highly responsible, communication is smooth. Parking is easy and the condo is on the first floor; you don't need to worry about steps when you have heavy luggage. Suggestion: add some beach toys for small kid. Thank you Jeanette and Michael!

The oceanfront sunsets at this property were spectacular! It was easy to communicate with the host, they were very responsive and helpful. Had a great 4 day stay here. The home is clean and well stocked. Really enjoyed the time spent on the Lanai and beautiful sunsets. The kitchen was well stocked with whatever we needed to cook breakfasts and make coffee. The walk from the home to downtown Kona is easy - about a mile to shops and restaurants. Hosts were responsive and check in process was easy. Parking and getting in and out was no problem. Definitely recommend having a car ti enjoy the island. Very happy with our stay.

The property was a beautiful space. The kitchen had all the appliances including a washer/dryer. The lanai was the perfect morning coffee-drinking spot with virw toward the ocean. The livivng room was spacious with 2 couches. Bathroom was great with lots of room. The king size bed in the bedroom was veey comfy. Not having to take a key when leaving the condo is very handy.We loved the sunsets down by the cabana!The condo is close to restaurants and other stores. Also, the airport is very close for going home.There are many beaches south of the condo. Kahalu'u was our favorite for snorkeling; lots of fantastic fish.One can't go wrong renting this unit!

We absolutely loved our stay in this condo! It was super comfortable with darling decor and had everything we needed! The view is of the ocean and we could actually see dolphins from the lanai in the morning! The pool and the Jacuzzi were excellent. It was quiet, peaceful and exactly what we needed! The hosts were great. Communication was wonderful and they even left us a couple of beverages in the fridge! Highly recommend!

The view from the lanai is truly gorgeous!! And the lush landscaping made it feel private even though it's surrounded by other condos. The pool, hot tub, and ping pong table down by the water were great. Our host was friendly and quick to respond to all our questions. Convenient location. We will gladly stay here again if/when we come back to the Big Island!

Lovely Oceanfront Property

Beautiful condo with sunset views

This place is fantastic. A beautiful, spacious condo with a lanai that gazes directly on the ocean. We watched the sunset from the condo, and then walked down to the water's edge for the last glimpses.the condo itself has a full kitchen, bathroom, and a huge bed in the main bedroom. It's a wonderful spot that feels secluded, but it a short drive from anywhere in Konawould stay again

Everything about this stay was smooth sailing. Easy to check in. Loved the lanai and the view, watching the birds and the ocean. Its a very quiet condo complex and the neighbors are friendly - lots gather during sunset down by the water. The bed was supremely comfortable and we slept very well. Great location to explore from! This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Kona Makai; we absolutely love its location and the annual community it hosts. I lived on big island for a long time and it’s a perfect location to walk Alii, get to both Kona town and out of town. This unit, in particular, had an amazing view straight out to the ocean. Was stocked so so well too!!!! Everything was easy, comfortable, homey, and beautiful.

Very quiet, clean and secure. The pool and bbq areas are very well maintained. The condo unit is well equipped with unique decor. The free bus to the downtown area for dining was a great bonus.
