Family vacation

Family of five adults and we had plenty of room to spread out - very spacious property. Kitchen well stocked and plenty of toilet paper, towels, beach gear etc. We really enjoyed the covered patio!

Good place for us

We were only on Hawaii for a couple of days, so didn't spend much time at the location. It suited us just fine. Plenty of space, and well stocked. Appreciated the reference books about the island. The host was quick to respond and answe answer any questions.

Great unit to staycation in for my family of 6. “Solitude” is top notch. Checking in was quick and easy and finding the this unit was easy, too. The view from the lanai was incredible every day and the sunsets each evening were amazing! well-equipped, and well-maintained. Just a wonderful place to spend time with the family!

Perfect place

The condo was a great match for our family vacation. It was located at the oceanfront with a market close by. We enjoyed the ocean pool and the condo was very spacious and loved the additional loft for the kids . Denise had all of the beach accessories and coolers . Would definitely recommend and stay there again .

Beautiful

Denise really went the extra mile to make sure this beautiful property was stocked with everything we could have needed and more. The property is large, spacious and had the feel of a house with a gorgeous view of the ocean. We enjoyed bringing our food out to the balcony so we could enjoy the view and hear the birds. The Ocean pool was so nice too.

Lovely property

We enjoyed whale-watching on the lanai every morning with our coffee. Condo was plenty big enough for all three couples, and in a great location just down from a grocery store and restaurants. Our only suggestion would be to do a deep clean (ceiling fans/vents etc) and invest in some non-stick pans.

Konaloa at Kona

Beautiful location with a great view of the ocean. Loved hearing the waves crashing on the rocks from the Lanai. Three pools gave us options, but we loved hanging at the ocean pool each night to watch the sunset. The property manager/owner was quick to respond to questions. There is a grocery And drug store close by. Convenient location to snorkeling, shopping and easy access to the highway to head North or South. There are beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers at the condo, so you don't have to rent them or get them from your vehicle rental company. Would recommend and stay again!

What a view

We loved this condo..whales were present every day off the lanai..the location is perfect.away from the crazy Kona traffic with a grocery store nearby. The condo is very spacious if a bit outdated but who cares. The stove and dryer could use a change out but who cares..they worked. Denise was great at communicating..checking in was easy, checking out was oh so hard,😫

Solitude

This condo was a perfect vacation home for our family. The 3 bedrooms easily accommodated 6 adults. The kitchen is large and fully stocked. The condo has a great ocean view from the lanai, living room & kitchen. We enjoyed watching humpback whales cavorting & breaching from the lanai. The complex features 3 pools: we especially enjoyed the "Ocean Pool." The complex is well away from downtown Kailua, and we enjoyed the quiet. The nearby Keauhou Shopping Center has several excellent restaurants and a large market that sold fresh poke daily.

Fantastic spot, great host.

Fantastic location, so easy to check in and out, responsive staff. In addition to lots to do nearby, the restaurants, farmer’s market and grocery are a quick walk. The unit itself is a bit more dated than we expected or it would be five stars all around. However, the dates nature of it brings some really cool elements that I hope y’all keep. All that mid century wood cabinetry and design is so cool. I wish I’d taken pictures of it. The loft was really great for my two kids and they accommodated the change from king to two singles. Really liked the localized AC control.

Beautiful location

Condo unit was large 3 BR full service kitchen and 2 1/2 Baths. Nice lanai with beautiful full views of the ocean. Only a few minor notes. No exhaust fans in the bathrooms and décor is a little dated. Host was very attentive to our needs and the place was clean. Many amenities for the beach. Place has 2 pools and jacuzzi and easy parking right in front of the unit. Front desk and security were very friendly. Location close to shopping, golf and beach. Great place just a few cosmetic changes would make this 5 star. Had a great time!! Mahalo Brian

Pretty Good Location & Size

We are a family of six and really enjoyed our stay here. The view of the ocean from the condo was great. The property was nice too and had three pools for the kids to use. The condo itself was filled with everything we needed during the stay. There is a grocery store and a ton of restaurants right up the street. The property itself and the things in it are really, really outdated. So, if you were picturing a more luxurious stay, this is not the place for you. I'm not sure I could even recommend this place to my friends because of that, but we did have a great time. Denise was a great host.

AMAZING

This was the best trip of my life and having a beautiful, comfortable, clean place to call home for 4 nights with awesome pools one with the best view of the sunset each night and free parking made it even better. The kitchen was great, they even left us coffee! I love that they had a free washer in the unit as well. The location was great and easy to get to all our tours and drive to all the sites we wanted to visit while on the big island. Thank you for the guest book with all the tips especially on where to snorkel and for providing chair and snorkel gear. It was so cool to swim / snorkel with sea turtles. And I highly suggest the Manta Ray night snorkel tour with Manta Adventures to anyone! Mahalo!

awesome condo

This is an amazing condo in a wonderful resort. the condo has perfect sunset views and is is very close to all 3 pools in the resort. we were there in late Dec and it was not very busy. the unit is on the second floor and had enough room for everyone to spread out. they provide beach towels and chairs, boogie boards, and binoculars that we took advantage of. There is a gate by the ocean pool that leads out to the lava cliffs. it was fantastic to take the beach chairs out there in the morning and at sunset. the kitchen has a ton of supplies. The location is perfect to get to area stores, groceries, restaurants, other beaches and bays. The owner was super responsive through text. We would love to stay there again.

Great home base

The location is very accessible for the beaches on the central west side of the island like Captain Cook or Two Step. The view from the lanai is beautiful. The sunset by the pool is stunning! Denise is very responsive. The interior has some basic issues that should be addressed. It seems past its prime and could use a refresh on the cabinets and tile work. The blinds are missing slats and one was stuck open in the master so if you don’t like light that is an issue in the bedroom. Not to mention privacy!Maintenance was very helpful with fixing this when we talked to them outside the unit. They must have had issues with people stealing because Claudio (whose number we were given by the host) would only allow 1 roll of paper towels ! and was very RUDE about that issue saying we must buy our own if we wanted more. We had six people staying 5 days. The towels are threadbare and need replaced and we initially did not have enough for everyone. Again maintenance helped with this by asking housekeeping for us. The building could use a refresh. For the cost it was a good home base and much better than a hotel. We have stayed at many condos and just felt there were a lot of little problems . We didn’t let that ruin our time and still had a great vacation in Paradise.

Giving Thanks

This unit was beautiful. It was spacious and very well-stocked with everything we needed. There were even puzzles and many lovely and interesting books to read! Upon entering the flight of stairs was almost daunting but wasn’t a problem. Once at the top we were pleased to see how pretty our view was. The sunsets were awesome and photos turned out amazingly gorgeous, complete with palm trees and waves. Simply splendid. Our family of six had well-enough space to sleep and relax in comfort. We are thoroughly spoiled going forward with family get-aways! Our thanksgiving weekend was wonderful as we shared our dinners with other families who stayed in other units nearby. There were a couple of details to point out though. And only to serve as a mere side note for the owners of this incredible property. There were a few baking pans and a pot that were greasy. Not baked on food or anything; but, the grease was thick and pretty unsightly. We were sure to hand wash each utensil and dish before using anything. One more detail to point out was that the floor was quite dirty which turned the soles of our feet black. We ended up mopping the walkways and wearing our house slippers. All in all, we are very thankful and happy we were able to have our family staycation at this wonderful property! Five stars for sure! Thank you!

Nicest day, a great location

I have stayed at six different locations on the dry side of the big island of Hawaii. This place has a lot of space, but very steep staircase when you come in. Not for the person with arthritic issues but my family is younger and did well. I would say the biggest issue I had was the temperature when we arrive was over 86°. I think I communicated well with the owner about the fact that the air conditioning should be turned on prior to arrival as given the size of the place being so large, and the fact that it has high vaulted ceilings, but it takes quite a long time to cool down. The location is close to a very nice shopping center and it’s halfway between the airport and Captain Cook snorkeling area. It’s about one hour from the Southpoint maybe an hour and 20 with gasoline. Overall, we had a great stay. It’s very spacious and does have a dryer and washer in the unit but the dryer does take a long time to dry. Overall happy about our stay. Has all the supplies you can imagine including towels, coolers beach, chairs, umbrellas, snorkeling gear. The gated facility is nice. The parking is ideally close to the front door. FYI the view you cannot see the sunset directly from your lanai. You have to go to the sunset or ocean pool in order to see the sunset or walk out straight ahead to the palm trees. You can see the water every morning from your lanai. The size is ideal for a family of 6. We had plenty of space. They had a nice games available at the house to play.

Amazing property!

This is definitely the easiest 5 star rating I’ve ever given - I wish I could do 6! The co-owner, Denise, was beyond helpful and accommodating. Every question I asked was answered quickly and with so much detail and insight that I had zero doubts about my itinerary. This included everything from ‘which beaches are good to introduce my kids to the ocean’, to snorkel tours and how to get around the resort. It was above and beyond anything I expected! The property is exactly like the posting. Some reviews have commented on it being dated so I want to address that (if you’re worried). It’s exactly like the pictures - no surprises. Personally I don’t care what the cabinets look like if they function, it’s clean and I have what I need. ! I’m not in Hawaii for a kitchen. It was also well stocked with anything you might need on top of the typical towels and cooking equipment, she had the every day items you don’t think about, like scissors and paper. I even found myself randomly needing a pencil sharpener and one was right in the drawer! My 14 year old son is also adamant that I mention “they had good TP. Make sure you say that!” So, if you want a place with two ply paper that is actually soft, this is the spot for you! So, onto the VIEW: it’s stunning. There’s no filter on the listing photos. It really does look just like that! I sat on the lanai every morning and every evening just watching the water and listening to the waves. We would 1000% stay here again. TY Denise!

Beautiful grounds and accommodations. Our unit was very well stocked and clean. Working with Denise and Claudio was easy and their communication was prompt. Our location was close to activities and grocery store. We certainly enjoyed our time on the Big Island and our days were filled with all the island had to offer.
