Loved the view!!!! Saw whales and Dolphins from the balcony! Close to restaurants and shopping. My husband loved being able to swim the Ironman course every morning !! Would definitely stay here again!!
Love staying at Kona Alii. Love proximity to town. And view is to die for. This unit was great because the upper bedroom had a wall to block it for privacy. Try to stay here ever time I go to Kona.
My husband is from Kona and we visit often. This is the best vacation rental we have stayed at on the island. The location is fantastic - close to town and with a direct ocean view. The condo is incredibly comfortable with thoughtful touches in each room. I look forward to staying again!
We had the most wonderful time staying at your property. It was exactly as listed, clean with a beautiful view of the ocean. David at the concierge was very helpful and helped us with booki g some of the excursions as well. We will definitely give you a 5 star for everything.
This place was fabulous. Quiet even with all the nearby restaurants, was decorated very nicely, had amazing balcony views, was immaculate upon arrival, boasts lots of great space, had a fully stocked kitchen, had lots of beach gear available, and everything-and I mean everything-was automated, including all the shades throughout the unit. Could not have been happier staying here, and would not think twice about staying again if/when we ever return. Mahalo!!
This top floor condo unit has been beautifully renovated, with all needed amenities. So your stay will be comfortable. Then, there’s the view! Pictures of the view are accurate, and you will not be disappointed. My kids were very impressed and super excited to use the telescope. I enjoyed my coffee every morning on the balcony taking in the view and listening to the waves. Restaurants are in east walking distance. Covered Parking for this unit was very nice as well.
First, the photos did not do it justice the condo was much better. Second, great views, bedrooms and the kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The couple of times we needed small items the Kona Vacations contacts immediately provided. Third, the TV app took a little getting use to but we all quickly adjusted. Finally, and most importantly all owners and long term renters we met in the breezeways, elevator and pool area were very welcoming. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. We will return.
We stayed at the Kona Alii #705 and, let me tell you, this unit is amazing. Two full bedrooms, each with a full bath and air conditioning units that are quiet and work well. There is also an AC in the living room. The view from this unit is INCREDIBLE, and there is an expensive spotting scope that we used to see whales and dolphins. The woodwork in this unit is amazing -- from the floors, to the custom pocket doors upstairs, to all of the custom closets, drawers, and cabinets throughout. The furniture in the living room and even the lanai is comfortable and lovely, but there isn't so much that the place is crowded. It will take you a few days to figure out the lights, showers, etc... because it is all high-tech and fancy. Although we didn't use them, there are 3 high-end televisions and even iPods with music! The laundry room has been redone and includes not only top of the line washer/dryer, but a utility sink where you can rinse your snorkels and beach shoes! The kitchen is clean, beautiful, and functional. I liked the pots so much that I'm buying a set for home. The building is safe, clean, and within walking distance to dozens of restaurants, shops, and the King Kam beach. The staircase is steep, and not appropriate for small children and people w difficulty w mobility. But there is a bedroom downstairs and this building has 2 working elevators. The parking space for this unit is on the lower level, which is both convenient and keeps you dry when it is raining. Win!
We had a wonderful stay! Highlights included stunning ocean views, well equipped & clean property, very comfortable king sized beds, and location was unbeatable with restaurants and shops right outside the door. Lots of high tech touches.
What a location ! Super close to some great restaurants and shops. The space was really nice - lots of nice touches. We really enjoyed the spotting scope - it was perfect for watching the school of dolphins that came to play one morning.
Great property. Well maintained and stocked with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Our only disappointment was the traffic noise from Alii Drive. Honking horns and reving engines made the lanai difficult to use.
Comfortable condo. Great location within walking distance to shops & restaurants. We had fun watching people, fishing boats and dolphins from the 7th floor balcony. Enjoyed the beautiful pool. Upstairs air conditioner had trouble keeping the bedroom cooled. Onsite manager was attentive to our questions. Would definitely stay here again.

Comfortable...no paper towels to start and surprised we ran out of toilet paper. Art work came off the wall....behind couch for no reason. Back screw came away from frame itself..

We stayed at Kona Alii in early March 2016. The accomodations were beautiful. I see the picture in the description and still can picture me sitting there. You can tell the people who own it care for it and the people they rent it to. They have a very nice MAC computer there to use (thank you). They have maps and guidebooks for the islands there. We very much enjoyed our stay there. Our only disappointment was in needing to contact the vacation company prior to going as we still had not received instructions or directions by the day we arrived. We had gotten an email several weeks earlier telling us to expect another email but never got the follow up. Fortunately, it wasn't difficult getting in touch with them and they forwarded the email to my smartphone. Also, for the last two days our code wouldn't work to get to the elevator but fortunately the key to the pool area also worked for this. All in all a very nice time. I would go back. I would certainly recommend this particular unit. Thank you for what you put into it to help us feel relaxed and enjoy our stay even more.
Overall, the condo was perfect for us. The location was centrally located, making everything in Kona within walking distance. The kitchen was well-equipped with lots of appliances & nice utensils. The fridge was big with filtered water and fresh ice every day. The TV in the living room was perfect as we were able to sign into our streaming services. The music system is wired to work throughout the condo and lanai. The lanai is the absolute gem of the place. We spent so much time out there enjoying the breathtaking view of Kailua Bay. The condo also has 2 boogie boards, 4 beach chairs, 4 beach towels, 2 umbrellas, sand toys, and pool noodles. The bedrooms were perfect with very comfortable beds. A few more blankets would have been great. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. There was TP, soap and shampoo there - enough to last a few days, but no conditioner. The pool was perfect - beautiful setting and nice temperature. We used it a few times and enjoyed the challenge of walking up 7 flights of stairs afterward. The only real complaint we had was the door lock. It is a combination pad only - no key. The combination is set remotely by the property management company. You get yours a few days before you check in. When my husband and I went food shopping on our second day, our 12 year old wanted to stay in the condo alone. He stays alone at home frequently. We told him not to open the door for anyone and we’d be home soon. He had the address and knew what to do in case of an emergency. As we're halfway through our food shopping trip, our phones are blowing up with frantic messages saying we need to get home now! Apparently, the condo’s maintenance man knocked on the door and wouldn’t leave. I called the management company and told them to have him leave immediately. We rushed back to the condo to find out that the man let himself inside with his own code. Thankfully he left, but when I spoke to the management company, they explained that many people have codes to get inside – vendors, maintenance people, the building management, the owner, etc. The management company was very apologetic and agreed to wipe all codes from the door lock except ours and theirs. The owner also apologized profusely and compensated us satisfactorily. Overall, the place and our stay was incredible. I added this story because the experience soured the start of our trip and as a mom, I think it would have been nice to know how the lock works before our stay.
We rented Kona Ali’i 705 over the 2022 Christmas holiday. The condo is very nice. High-end appliances and finishes. Very clean. Well-equipped kitchen. The views from the condo are outstanding. Location is great for easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Very convenient for both walkers and runners. Mornings on the lanai drinking coffee, watching the sunrise, waves, surfers, swimmers, SUP and paddle boarders, spinner dolphins, and people out and about. Since the condo is West facing, awesome sunset every night. The starry nights (and early mornings) were spectacular. The fans and lights on the lanai truly came in handy. The condo is on the top floor so the view is great, street noise was minimal, and you can still hears the crashing waves. The A/C in every room was excellent. The high-end TVs, cable, and Sonos sound system throughout was a big plus (read the provided instructions). The beds, bedding, and towels were all in excellent condition. We loved that everything in the condo was labeled! The covered, dedicated parking spot eliminated any parking anxiety. The condo building and grounds felt very secure. The few condo residents we did encounter were very pleasant. The pool area looked very nice, clean, and plenty of lounge chairs, but we did not utilize it this time around. The check-in and check-out process was flawless. The communication and directions from the management company was excellent. We will definitely put this condo on the list to revisit.
