  • From the comfort of your lanai enjoy watching amazing surf action, beautiful ocean views, and our world class sunsets. Well equipped kitchen with everything you need to prepare delicious meals.
    Master bedroom has a king bed and it's own bathroom. Guest bedroom has a queen bed. Queen sofa bed available in the living room.
    AC unit is currently only in the living room and not in the bedrooms.
    Beach gear including beach chairs, coolers and beach towels available for your use. Snorkel and other beach gear available to rent locally.
    Kona Bali Kai has a resort style pool, hot tub, private parking, oceanfront lawn, BBQ area, and on site deli called Da Poke Shack.
    All reservations are required to digitally sign a rental agreement between the person booking and and property manager to be confirmed.
    One of Kona's most popular stretches for runners, walkers and bicyclists, and is well-known for being the start of the marathon leg of the Ironman World Championship.
    For golfers, the Keauhou Country Club is a 5 to 10 minute drive to the south and for the anglers, Kona is famous for its world class deep sea fishing. Kona Bali Kai is centrally located between Kailua town and Keauhou Shopping Center, offering several restaurants, cinemas, groceries, drug store, clothing and other shopping.

Great views here and sounds of the waves all day. 2d bedroom on street side - so no views and sometimes street noise. Great location close to downtown Kona — convenient parking - enjoyed our stay.

Great Place

We really enjoyed our stay here. The views are amazing with all the surfers, great sunsets, we even seen some dolphins. It’s only a few minutes drive to the shopping/eating area. The place is equipped with everything including beach towels, chairs, umbrella, soaps, laundry detergent. It was a perfect place to end our busy days resting on the lani watching the surfers.

The condo had everything we needed and comftorably fit 2 adults, 2 teenagers, and 2 small children. It had a beautifl view from the lanai. We utilized the pool and hot tub and even swam at the beach directly by the condo. We'd stay here again!

We loved our stay here. The balcony is amazing with beautiful views and surfers to watch. The breeze and the sound of the waves were so relaxing. The unit had everything we needed for our stay. We stayed on 3 islands and this was our favorite rental. Thank you for sharing it with us!

Lovely stay

We were very comfortable with 5 guests. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The views are amazing-we saw whales, sea turtles, tons of fish and sea creatures. The pool is nice. The condo had a cooler, beach chairs and beach towels. There is a great surf break directly in front of the condos. Highly recommend!

Great location on the water

We enjoyed staying in this on the water unit with it’s well equipped kitchen. Complementary items were appreciated. The two bedrooms were comfy and well laid out. Our only concern was the state of the sleeping accommodations for the other two guests. The couch hide-bed was not in useable condition so one guest slept out on the couch on the lanai. We made it work but not everyone may be willing to be as flexible. Overall the accommodation experience was very good.

Loved this well outfitted condo! Very clean. Terrific lanai with really comfortable furniture. Could have spent all day watching the ocean and surfers. Really appreciated the beach chairs and cooler. Sunsets from this lanai cannot be beat!

This was our sixth day at Kona Valley Kai the views and Vello value cannot be beat. I dream about sleeping in this ocean front master when I am back in Ohio and missing the waves! My sunset pictures from the lanai are the best love watching the surfers. the condo is nicely equipped and stocked. Kitchen was great to cook in with good appliances. Beds were very comfortable. There is so much to do in Kona and the weather is perfect every day.

Amazing condo on the ocean

The condo was just as advertised great location, great condo, and easy access to just about everything. I want to first state that all the years we have been coming to Hawaii this place had one of the best air conditioners for a condo at this price point. Sitting on the lanai watching the surfers was a destination in itself, we had to force ourselves to leave in the morning and couldn’t wait to get back for sunset. If there was any room for improvement it would be the mattress in the master bedroom it’s time to update it. We loved our stay and will definitely rebook on our next trip in a few months. Thanks for letting us stay at your condo!

Great location but away from the hustle and bustle

Loved enjoying our mornings and evenings watching the surfers and enjoying the sunset view. Able to walk to market right up the road for fresh fruit and we enjoyed exploring the tide pools in our “backyard”. About a 6 minute drive to the strip in Kona for food and shopping and right down the road from Magic Sands which my teens loved (experienced swimmers only). Had to keep the master bedroom door open in order to benefit from the r air conditioning. My 15 year old didn’t complain about the pullout which was a plus. Overall great condo. Didn’t check out the pool area but looked decent.

View was great - we spent many hours watching surfers, fish, and sunsets. Master bedroom - nice view, liked having it open to the living room with option of sliding door closed, comfortable bed, A/C cools off room well En-suite bathroom - good amount of counter and cabinet space, large mirror, shower had good pressure & hot water Secondary bedroom - comfortable bed, warmer than rest of room but host provided multiple fans in addition to ceiling fan so it worked out, closet and dresser space Hallway bathroom - Good water pressure in shower, heated up quickly, all good Laundry - Really convenient to have washer and dryer in the unit Kitchen - Well-stocked utensils, cookware, serving ware, dining ware options; coffee pot was straight-forward and worked like a champ for all our Kona brews; appreciated having ice cube trays in the freezer; lovely view while washing dishes Dining/living room - Appreciated all the ceiling fans, kitchen chairs more comfortable than they looked, clean Other site amenities - Parking went smoothly and there were plenty of options, we used the pool & hot tub a few times (liked that the pool deck shower was heated), Da Poke Bowl on site was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful We would totally stay here again!

Beautiful View

This condo has an amazing view of the ocean and surfers. Our favorite part was sitting in the lanai. Resort property is outdated, but this room is updated. Even though there is an AC unit, the smaller room still got very warm because the unit is only in the living room. The fans that were provided were too dirty to use. Master bedroom stayed cool. Do not leave any food in cabinets or counter, even if it’s wrapped. There are tiny spiders all over the kitchen area. There were traps and spray so I am assuming this is a common problem. Even with the spiders, the condo was fairly clean. Beds, bathroom and floors were clean. Owners were quick to respond when we messaged about the spiders and a fire alarm beeping due to a low battery.

Spectacular view marred by many trivial but distracting issues. 1 Small bugs, perhaps ants, all over kitchen sink and 2nd bathroom. 2. Cockroachkilled on the glide of the slider. (Both issues would probably best be handled by exterminator, and not the ant & roach spray left under kitchen sink. 3. No way discovered to turn on living room lamps. 4. All knives are extremely dull making food preparation difficult. 5. Light over entryway flickers on and off. 6. Broom well hidden in 2nd bedroom closet. Lots of room for it by refrigerator. 7. Timer on A/C is a joke. Property is presented as high class, yet managed like a tennament. The old building is showing its age and little love or pride in ownership.

Beautiful

This property has amazing views…literally right on the coast. We loved watching the surfers all day long and watching the sun set every evening. The property has everything you need to have a nice stay, do laundry and cook meals. The beds were comfortable. (My teens didnt even complain about the hideaway bed.) Having the beach chairs, cooler and umbrella available was a very nice touch. We left 4 boogie boards to add to the collection. The air conditioning was fine once the unit acclimated. There is no longer a timer on the AC as some other reviewers mentioned. You can set it to a certain temp and push auto for it to cycle on/off. The second bedroom is noticeably warmer, but we left the door open the whole time and had fans directing the cooler air into the room. After a day or two it was comfortable-ish. I think if you had the door shut you would be extremely uncomfortable unless you like warm rooms. Because of the AC split location in the main area, I highly recommend this as a family unit. If you had 2 couples and wanted privacy this may not be the space for you. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Thank you!

Wish I was there now.

Just like the photos. Sitting on the lanaii is the best! We were there in August. Yes, it was warm, but we never turned on the a/c unit. We found that just the cross breeze from having the sliding glass doors and front door open kept it very comfortable. The front door has a locking screen. It's walkable to Magic Sands. We didn't eat at at the poke shop that is on the premises, but it is very popular. Great having beach towels, chairs, and snorkle gear to use. We didn't cook though the kitchen was nicely stocked. There is a regular coffee maker and a starter supply of coffee. Never had trouble finding a parking spot. There is one thing that the owners can't do anything about but that is annoying/puzzling and that is that the people in the unit above move their heavy lanaii furniture CONSTANTLY. We could not imagine what they were doing up there from early morning till late at night. Don't get me wrong, we would go back in a second, but it really made you want to find out what in the world was going on. Anyway, terrific place no matter what.

Beautiful view

We loved our stay here and thought it a great value for a comfortable condo. The sunset view here is just unbeatable and our favorite of the 3 rentals we’d used. (Here, Volcano, & Ko Olina on Oahu). We stayed in a luxury unit on Oahu that cost more than double a night from this condo and we all commented on how much of a better deal this condo was. We had everything we needed and more. The only con was that the air conditioning is on a 4 hour timer and that was a bit annoying. I’d wake up warm, but would just get up and reset it each night. All the pros were so good that the air conditioning timer wasn’t enough to keep us from feeling as if this was still easily a 5 star stay. We saw lots of fish and eels in the tide pools. Da Poke Shack is right there and was delicious. Parking was plentiful and it was a short drive into Kona. My husband and I walked to town once but it was a bit of a hike there and back. Our first night there we were tired from traveling for almost 16 hours and we used Doordash to deliver groceries from Safeway. It was a quick and easy delivery to the condo. Each morning we sat on the lanai and watched a few surfers. We never used the pool but it looked clean and there were plenty of chairs. Check-in and out was easy. There were stairs and an elevator. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would recommend this condo to others. Actually, we already have told friends how much we enjoyed staying here.
