Kona Christmas

Love Kona Reef we stay here every year. This particular unit had everything we needed and was very clean, updated and comfortable. Highly recommend this unit!

Great stay

We booked this on short notice because our dissatisfaction with the Marriott in Waikoloa. Overlooking the water, well equipped, great location close to Kailua/Kona/all amenities. Cannot recommend this home more highly. Hope to return in ‘25.

Very nice condo. Beautiful sunsets from lanai. Would stay again for sure. A/C in bedroom is something not all units at Kona Reef have so greatly appreciated.

Top-notch experience

This was such an amazing place to begin our Big Island vacation! We spent three nights and wished it could be more. Clean, stocked, quick responses from management, fantastic location. It's just as wonderful as the pictures make it look and I can't recommend this place highly enough. I still dream of the sunsets on the Lanai.

A perfect place to enjoy your holiday!

I’ve stayed in this complex many times. Shannon’s condo is updated and has everything you need for a very comfortable stay. You can’t beat the sound of the waves, and communicating with Shannon is so easy. She’s a great hostess. It’s a lovely place to unwind, and to make a base for your big island adventures. Perfection

Easy to book and great location. So many perfect touches to make this condo comfortable. Great furniture and decor. Extras like boogie boards, beach chairs, welcome chocolates, and first class view of ocean. The cookware is top quality. We never turn on tv while on vacation but i bet it is good also. Would love to return to this particular condo often!

Magnificent surf.

Great views and A/C in living room and bedroom a big plus. The surf is right outside the lanai and the high top table a huge plus. Bedroom and bathroom were quite small but functional. Also a bit of a trek to the unit, but if you park on the 2nd floor indoor garage, it makes it a bit closer and easier when moving luggage.Used the beach chairs and beach towels which were great. Go to the four seasons for snorkeling (rent from Boss Frogs) - it was amazing - great facilities and felt like we were in an aquarium (snorkel along the shore reef) with many many fish and turtles!Its an easy walk into town. Walked to the dock and back twice each morning (4.6 miles) which made for a pleasant way to start the day.Shannon (host) was very accomodating and easy to work with and provided lots of ideas of where to go and snorkel. We just go back to Tampa Bay, FL and can't wait to come back!

Great Updates

This is a well maintained unit that is tastefully decorated. The bed linens, bath towels and beach towels were all high quality. The kitchen was well equipped with anything you needed to BBQ down at the pool or cook in the unit. We really appreciated the tall lanai furniture that allowed us to easily whale watch. Also this unit has a locking screen front door which allowed great air flow so we never had to turn on the AC. But speaking of AC this is one of only a handful of units that has AC in the bedroom. Parking is first come first serve however there was never a problem finding a space. But don't forget to put your parking permit on the dash be cause onsite management does check and leave violation notices.The hosts and maintenance people for this unit were very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be renting this unit again!

Fabulous condo and great location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property has a nice hot tub, pool and BBQ area. It is located right on the water and the view from the lanai is beautiful. You can walk to a number of restaurants and shops. The condo itself is spacious and has all the needed amenities such as beach chairs, snorkel equipment and a cooler. It was great having air conditioning, a dishwasher, and washer and dryer. We also appreciated the very clear instructions provided by the owner.

Amazing View

This rental is in a perfect location within walking distance to shops and restaurants! Our favorite spot was on the lanais watching surfers, dolphins, whales and sunsets. The condo was clean, comfortable and had everything you needed for cooking or washing clothes. I would highly recommend this location for your next vacation!!

Ocean experience

The best part about this condo is the lanai that is right next to the ocean. You can't beat the sound of the waves and the unobstructed view. The rest of the condo is comfortable and wonderful too.

Paradise in Kona

Yes. The listing really is the view from the lanai. We left the doors open and slept with the sound of the waves. The unit is lovely and it’s an easy walk to Kona attractions. We would gladly stay here again.

We had wonderful stay at Shannon's condo! Beautiful views of the ocean, private, peaceful, and she has everything you might need for your vacation. Condo was clean and bright. Great Condo!

We absolutely loved this condo. The lanai is so nice for morning coffee and sea turtle watching and evening happy hour sunsets. It is a comfortable place with AC when needed yet ocean breezes as well. We walked to all our restaurants and parking is easy. The TV was great (didn’t use it much…because…lanai) with all the apps and streaming capability. The pull out couch is comfortable We’ll be back. Mahalo!!

Awesome experience!

We absolutely LOVED staying here. It's even better in person than in the photos. Very clean & well equipped. And it is right on the ocean! We sat on the lanai every morning for coffee & night for a glass of wine. Location is absolutely PERFECT. You can literally walk to all the restaurants (and there are a ton of them) & cute shops. The pool area is awesome with plenty of seating, clean grills to cook up a good steak & perfect view of the ocean. The condo provides boogie boards, a cooler, beach chairs & umbrella which we used almost every day. I can't say enough about how much we loved staying here and we plan to come back very soon and won't stay anywhere else other than this fabulous condo! Thank you Shannon for helping to make this one of our best vacations ever!

great view, short walk to Kailua-Kona

The condo was very clean and organized with all the necessities including sunscreen. The only issue was the amount of light that comes through the bedroom window. An earlier reviewer commented on this also and suggested some sort of black-out blinds for the window and I wholeheartedly agree. The corridor light fixture and the red exit lamp fixture (just outside of the window) illuminates the entire bedroom. I used some towels and hung them off of the screens' frames of the window and that didn't even keep much of the light out.
