Kona Magic Sands#309 is a DIRECT oceanfront, Top floor condo that is meticulously maintained, beautifully furnished, and has absolutely anything any guest could dream of.
Air Conditioning, Wifi, beach gear, linens, dishes, cookware, fully equipped!

This 3rd floor/Top Floor condo has such a beautiful view! Wake up to the ocean, hear the waves. Great whale watching during the winter months! Immediately upon walking in, you'll notice a well appointed mini kitchen that has a stove, sink, fridge and fully stocked with dishes. The bathroom has a walk in shower for you!

In the living area, there's a sitting area if you want to get some R&R watching TV. There's a small dining area as well by the Queen Sized Bed. This is an incredible option for 1 or 2 people looking to be direct beach front.

Kona Magic Sands is the only beachfront condominium complex in Kona. Enjoy an oceanfront pool there as well! There's a restaurant on site called Magics Grill as well!
Laundry use is available in the complex, which is a shared common area.

Very nice central place. Air conditioning worked well. Had everything we needed to he comfortable. Bed and pillows very comfy. Excellent staff checking in to make sure everything we needed was provided.

Perfect location

We have stayed in three or four different Kona Magic Sands units (second and third floor) and have yet to be disappointed. The view is unmatched. You’re close to everything without being right in town. We like snorkeling right out in front of the building or just to the south (mile marker 4). This unit, 309, had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here again.

The restaurant that is located at the had very good food and very friendly staff. the beach was nice to have so close by. I didn't go in the pool but it looked clean and inviting. The bed was really comfy. The only problem I had was the kitchen faucet was hard to get shut off completely. I would definitely rent this unit again.

The kitchenette gave us the opportunity to make our own breakfast every day and sit with the patio doors opens while eating. The sound of the ocean lulled us to sleep. The condo was tidy and provided us with all the necessities. The building is an older style but that didn't phase us. There were simple extras like chairs, umbrella, and body boards to use at the beach. Also the restaurant on site was great when we didn't want to go far. We would come back here easily.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I would love to give a 5 star. However, there were many issues that should be addressed for the next guests. These are simple fixes. First, bed sheets are Awful! Old, worn and scratchy. 2. One set of towels are not enough for a couple/week stay (I don't want to wash on VAC). 3. The rattan furniture is old, dusty and very uncomfortable. The details matter. You would get return guests if these simple fixes were applied. As I stated the view is priceless.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was our 4th stay at Kona Magic Sands, each time in a different unit. This was probably the most outdated unit we have stayed in. I don’t know if the owners are new to this unit. If so, I hope they will invest in new kitchen cabinets, new appliances, lights and fans. We did notice the new flooring and that’s a start. For my own comfort, the bed was too soft. I prefer a firm mattress for my back so for that reason alone i would choose another unit. As far as property management, the unit was very clean and the property is as well maintained as can be considering the damage done to the sea wall by the surge during bad weather. Damaged areas were well marked. I would stay at Kona Magic Sands again just not in this unit until improvements have been made. All in all we enjoyed our stay on the Big Island.

Oceanfront & Reasonable

The reasonable cost for this property made us skeptical that it was really going to be as advertised, but it was! Located on the ocean, the front of the building is nondescript but the back has palm-lined views of the sunset - we could see tropical fish swimming among the rocks on calm days. The inside of our unit was clean, just a little out-dated. The kitchen is reasonable appointed if you plan to cook - which we did. Bring your own spices. There is a small beach right next door where many people were boogie-boarding and a park/beach on the other side of the building. There is also a restaurant & bar attached to the building where you can sit oceanfront- we didn't eat there, so can't review it. The patio doors opened wide to let in the breeze and surf sounds - which were quite loud during our stay. Even with the doors closed, you could still be lulled to sleep by the surf. I was appreciative of the coded access - no keys to keep track of. There is no elevator to access the 2nd or 3rd floors, so if you can't lug your bags up stairs, this location will be a challenge. Also, if you are tall (over 6 ft), the bathroom light is part of a ceiling fan which is right above the sink and that could be a tad too close to your head. That is the case in the kitchen as well. All in all, this was a terrific location, clean facility, beautiful views and responsive management.

Another week in paradise

We love it here. We have stayed here before and will stay again. We love the location. You can’t get closer to the water. The unit is well maintained and clean. It has everything you need for a wonderful stay. The management team is fast and responsive. We had an AC unit problem and they had someone out as quickly as possible.
