"Super quiet, decently comfortable bed, game shows on the Telly, hot shower, en suite, great location, sweet staff. I didn’t need much, as I only was in the room for sleep, but I’ve got no complaints. "

"Centrally situated, what was the Penta Hotel, the B&B Hotel has been renovated and rooms are modern and spotless. You can find some really good deals at certain times, especially if looking to enjoy the music scene on your doorstep and dates don't matter. The £7 cooked breakfast looks really good but on the two mornings we were there THE FOOD WAS ONLY WARM/COOL. Even as sausages and bacon were being replenished as we waited, it was still only warm and not enjoyable. Five stars reduced to four is unfair on all the other staff who are doing excellent work. PLEASE SERVE HOT BREAKFAST."

"We were told that breakfast started at 7.30. Our train was at 7.50 so would not get breakfast. This is very poor show for a STATION hotel. Fortunately the night porter came on duty and said he would make up a take away continental package. So much more helpful that the receptionist man. We had a lovely continental breakfast on the train. But surely a station hotel should be serving breakfast from at least 7.00?"

"The room and hotel state were first class. The only issue we had was the temperature of the room. As the windows appear to be single lair glass and the very cold gale of wind was heading into the window it was hard to heat the room. This was our only problem"

"Everyone was very nice. However the rooms were not very clean. The towels had blood stain. The sheets had stains. The towels were ripped. Also the rooms were very loud. The beds are very bouncy. The hotel keys also do not stay working. We were told that if the key is near our phone it will deactivate. We made note and specifically did not have the keys near our phone’a they still were deactivated. There are also a lack of outlets and the lighting in the room was horrible. We have to unplug the lights just to charge the phones. "

"Everything was good with a few quirks - like the shower doors were sitting off the rails (easy fix), and some thin walls and enthusiastic neighbours (not the property’s fault). "
