"Mountain retreat was the perfect secluded spot for us to relax with our family. We loved our stay - the wildlife, the ability to let our dogs play out the front of the cabin, a hearty fire with the stars above for dinner. Just perfect! We love Mudgee, so we'll be back for sure. Janene was also amazing with communication of the road condition following a lot of rain, so thanks so much."

"My recent stay at Turon Gates Luxury Glamping Tent surpassed all expectations. The tent was beautifully styled with attention to detail, a comfortable bed and a spacious lounge area perfect for movie nights.The fully equipped kitchen and spacious bathroom with a delightful bath added to the comfort of our stay. Complimentary wine and honey were thoughtful touches. There are a few walks on the property. We did a section of the Devil's Climb up to sunset lookout, stunning view! We also saw a lot of wildlife e.g. deer, goats, ponies, horses, and various bird species. The only recommendation is that we wish the tents were a bit more spaced out since we could hear our neighbour blasting music from 7.30am and again late at night. Overall, we highly recommend Turon Gates to anyone for a getaway!"

"We spent 2 weeks in the region with Jamaicaville as our base only leaving the property to go to Newcastle. Most days were spent lazing around, short walks and watching the kangaroos & the diversity of birds at sunrise & sunset. It was very hot on most days, however the house was very well insulated with the rammed earth walls. Everything we needed was supplied & if we had any questions, Sarah the property manager was very responsive. Jamaicaville is a fabulous location to get away from technology and the hussle of modern living !!"

"Loved the accommodation/carriage. Great job!! Just a couple of suggestions. There were heaps of mossies, no spray or mossie coils or suggestion to bring any No oil spray for cooking. Dish washing liquid didn't wash well. Toiletries, only enough for 1 person. Website said coffee machine, but only plunger and would have bought ground coffee if known or our own coffee machine. "I stayed here with friends and our two children, aged 6 and 5 years. The property is remote and just beautiful if you are after an escape from the city. The kids had a trampoline and play equipment to keep them entertained. The horse and sheep were at our door step in the morning and were able to feed them. The house was well equipped and clean, comfortable and warm beds. Teresa was lovely, very helpful and welcoming. We loved the fire pit and stunning views. The children had a wonderful time."
