"Excellent cottage in great location, very close to town but quietly tucked away. Everything you need for a stay, all fixtures and fittings of good quality. Only minor niggle is limited windows that open and shower was very slow to drain otherwise highly recommended."

"We stayed here for a short break with the family. We were greeted with a lovely welcome pack from the owners and was really impressed with the lodge. Its location was perfect for places to visit, we went to Bamburgh castle, Berwick, Alnwick gardens and Holy Island in the time we stayed. The accommodation was spacious, clean and warm on arrival, with the log burner as a welcome extra. We would definitely recommend for a family getaway and would stay again in the future."

I Would highly recommend, we done the full journey by public transport ane it was so easy to get around without a car. We slept in and had to leave in a hurry at checkout and feel really bad about not having time to give the accommodation a proper clean before we left. "

Only note, instructions say the key is at the back of the house where the parking is but the parking and the key holder is clearly at the front of the house - not sure how a simple instruction like this can be wrongly noted. "We were delighted to find the cottage provided all we needed and was comfortable and homely. The view from the back was relaxing and cottage a good position for the coast and any needs. We enjoyed meeting friendly Sam and her husband and found them friendly and accessible by phone for any concerns. This makes such a difference to have personal connection . "The cottage is full of character and thoughtfully furnished. Actually enjoyed having no tv. Kids loved the outside space. Summer house was perfect on an evening. Within short driving distance from Alnwick - castle and garden. Communication with host excellent."

"Well furnished with good-sized rooms including handy utility room and good-sized downstairs cloakroom. Great location in the centre of Wooler with its own parking, though proximity to the church bells was problematic for one guest. Despite that, I'd definitely recommend."
