Cross House Studio was fully renovated in 2019 to provide luxury accommodation and is finished to an extremely high quality throughout.
It is situated in the very centre of this popular, picturesque and historic village only 500 yards from the castle. Shops, friendly village pubs, lovely cafes and unique bistros are all within 50 yards but the property still provides a quiet retreat being tucked away behind the main high street. Warkworth is dominated by its fine castle and riverside walks. It's only a 10 minute walk to the sandy bay which stretches from Alnmouth to Amble in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is on the coastal route providing over 20 miles of golden sandy beaches. It is an ideal holiday base for exploring the stunning coastline nearby as well as the Cheviot hills. Alnwick Castle and Gardens are 6 miles. Boat trips to Coquet Island from Amble only 2 miles. Local golf course ½ mile. Train station 3 miles for day trips to Newcastle, Edinburgh and beyond. A local bus service runs on a regular basis for more local journeys. This is an ideal location for exploring the Heritage coastline and beyond. The studio is behind the owner’s property along with one further holiday apartment.

Warkworth Great Find
The apartment is really cosy right in the village to the rear of the main house looking onto the house garden so peaceful and quiet yet really handy. Great walks for me and Daisy the bearded collie in the village along the river and then up to the beach Great for dog owners.

Relaxing stay
Cross house was the perfect size for my wife, myself and our dog. The property opened up on to a beautiful walled garden that we all enjoyed. It was in the lovely village of Warkworth and a short journey to the stunning beach.

Small but perfectly formed ground floor accommodation with delightful enclosed, shared garden - perfect for our Labrador.
Only slight criticism was the mattress which gave us backache - a decent topper would probably resolve that issue.

A definite 5 star stay
We just finished a weeks stay at the Cross House Studio and could not have been more pleased. My wife and I are experienced travelers who have stayed in dozens and dozens of self catering homes and this place ranks up in our top 5.
There is not one specific thing that stands out to push this so high up on the list - rather it is the cumulative total of so many things that all rated very highly - resulting in a superlative stay.
A super quiet location. In the hustle and bustle of the village but when you enter thru the outside door and into the inner garden (beautiful BTW) you enter a peaceful Oasis. The property was immaculate. The wifi was fast and the TV very adequate. Compact but very comfortable and functional. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable bed and furniture.
Lara & Andy are personable, helpful, and proactive. A great pair of hosts!
So much to do nearby a week was not enough time. We immensely enjoyed our stay and will endeavour to return.

Beautiful Studio & Garden
The property is lovely and has everything that you need. Our dog loved the enclosed, walled garden and was very happy and safe.
Warkworth is a glorious little village and the walks on the beach and along the river are perfect if you are taking a 4 legged family member with you.
Lara is the perfect host, welcoming and friendly. The check-in/out procedures are quick and easy. Tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and orange juice were provided, which was thoughtful.
Sadly, we had to leave early due to a family issue but really enjoyed our short time at the studio.

Little Gem
Beautiful studio with a gorgeous garden. The hosts were fantastic and had lots of information and advice. The studio was equipped with everything you need and was very spacious and very well presented. The location is perfect for exploring the Northumberland coast and there are plenty of great restaurants and pubs in walking distance. Little gem, we’ll certainly be back.
