"Met with a big smile from the receptionist who was quite happy to chat about why we were staying there. Good sized room with a great view of the River Tyne/Gateshead and a bath/shower combo although the bath was too low for me to use. Nice food and with a 20% discount it made it very competitively priced."

"We stayed here during the duration of my professional exams, which was being held at the same venue. The bar and restaurant provide good food at good prices. The lobby, restaurant and halls are nicely decorated. When we first checked in, we were initially given a room which was already occupied by someone. The person who served us didn’t volunteer any information on her own either, about how to get our room, or where breakfast will be served. This basic information was only provided on asking. The room was old and tired, the curtains were dusty and didn’t cover the whole length of the windows with an overlap, the pillow was hard and extremely uncomfortable, and the air conditioning didn’t cool at all. Our room also had a connecting door to the adjacent room, which let in a lot of noise from that room."

"We received a very warm welcome upon arrival from the reception staff. They were very helpful and friendly Our room was very nice and clean. The shower over the bath could do with upgrading The grounds are beautiful and although it was very busy with two weddings and and abundance of golfers there was plenty of staff to accommodate the demand. I would definitely recommend and stay again"
