"The check in process was ok, because we’re travelling we had quite abit of expensive camera equipment -when the owner said don’t worry about locking up the dogs are our protection I felt uncomfortable. Every time we entered or left the property the dogs would bark at us. Mentions the owners know what to do around the area but they didn’t give us any information. The bed is a double bed in the main room, not really appropriate for adults to sleep in or anyone taller than 5’7 because your feet will hang off the bed. The mattress itself was very stiff. The oil heater, must be the same oil heater that others complained about a couple of years prior in the reviews because it barely works, after having it on for 4 hours the temperature of the property went from 6degrees to 10 degrees. Still absolutely freezing so would need to bring your own heater. Toilet and shower are seperate to the house in another hallway which is absolutely freezing and has a constant draft due to an open ceiling above. I noticed mould on the pictures in frames on the wall. The owners request you park out the front on the grass so be careful at night because I got out and tripped over a very large tree stump in the ground that is not labeled for safety reasons I’m lucky I didn’t hurt myself as I am PREGNANT. You are able to hear the dogs running around the house above as well as the people living above. Overall the area and the beaches made it an okay stay but I wouldn’t stay at this property again."

Waterfront Paradise in Royal National Park - Your Bundeena Escape

"First time in Australia; family (7) vacation. This property is beautifully secluded and quiet. A welcome retreat after a day of sightseeing. Was not disappointed; pictures did not do it justice. We live in the desert so being right on the ocean was an added treat. The outside seating and the balcony were enjoyed. I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness because there were stains on the sofas. Host told us ahead of time about the problem with the carpet in one of the bedrooms (I appreciated his telling us). However, these things did in no way cause us to have any negative feelings about this property or our host. I messaged him about trouble getting access to the WIFI and he responded promptly with the solution. While some in our family did not like the long distance to the property, others found it to be a beautiful drive (about 1 hour to Sydney).The town of Bundeena is small and quaint and has everything we needed for our stay. We loved the little coffee shop we visited each morning and the beach that is 1 block away. We even took the ferry across the bay to Cronulla for a little shopping. If you enjoy the big city but need a quiet place to relax and recharge at the end of the day (and if you don't mind the long drive) I recommend this waterfront paradise. No complaints. Very pleased with our stay. I really felt that I could have stayed 2 more weeks."
