A great happy welcome by staff always willing to help. Room was clean and neat. Bed very comfortable. It’s so good to have the railway access so close as well as buses.
I cant speak highly enough of this small quaint hotel with a staff as big as Texas! Such wonderful accommodations and the bar is great too. Thank you so much for the kindness from a Mate from Texas!!
I really liked the area and would stay here again. Right across from a train station, and free self parking. Great dining options in the town Centre. Uncle Hung was a great meal!
Only downsides of the property were: 1) the walls were quite thin, so you could hear everything in the halls, 2) air conditioning was only on or off, 3) car park gates are locked until 9am. This last one could've been a real problem had I not read the info booklet in the room before I went to bed, as I needed to depart for the airport before 8. Thankfully there was another free car park across the street that I moved the car too.
Good value for money, rooms were clean, shared bathroom facilities were maintained and overall for the price a good experience. Staff were also very accommodating especially being the Mother’s Day weekend. If you’re after budget accommodation with decent pub food and great staff this place is worth staying at.
Excellent comfortable room and shared bathroom. Good food in main bar. However the shared kitchen was not clean (at least over the weekend). The shared fridge was a real mess but there was a mini-fridge in my room.
Great for the price. Things for staff to improve: AC does not turn off meaning room is always chilly. Lack of shelves. Doesn't have a proper chair. Fridge under desk leading to no legspace under desk.
Shower has no place to put towels/clothes, and if you use the shower at the end of the corridoor because its open, your going to get screamed at by the resident at the end of the hallway, because apparently thats only for the permanent residents (even though there is NO indication of that).
Don't expect to get any sleep at this place, because the gambling machine volume is cranked up to 11 and goes constantly until 2am, combined with onstant road/train station noise because the walls/windows noise reduction.
Even though they have no smoking signs, it doesnt seam to apply to the "special" residents at the end of the hall, because cigarette stink billows out from their room every time they open the door, and it also comes up from the gambling/outdoor area right outside the window (another reason why you cant open the window).
No air conditioning (only ducted venting, which is terrible because of the cigaretee stink).
Overall only stay here if you, dont indend to actually sleep and instead are only there for the gambling/smoking.
Staff were pleasant, but I hope they have health care compensation for being exposed to so much cigarette smoke.
