"We absolutely loved our stay! The location was fantastic—we really enjoyed being right by the Ala Wai Canal. We also loved how close it was to a 7-Eleven and a great food truck spot, which made grabbing snacks and meals super convenient. We hadn’t realized there would be several parades and local events during our visit, which caused some road closures and traffic, but this property’s location made it easy for us to get in and out without any issues. "The hotel is very nice. However the resort fees, add $45 per night to your stay. If you park a car, it's sixty dollars per night. We wanted to travel around oahu. When I checked in, having believed I had prepaid for everything, i was hit with an unexpected nine hundred fifteen dollar bill. That was a big negative thing. The hotel is very nice, and they give you drink tickets, and we met some really nice people, and we definitely enjoyed the drinks every night. I recommend enjoying the blue hawaiian drinks. The breakfast was pretty good. There's always a cook who will make you fresh omelets, then the other the breakfast items vary. There is miso soup, and white rice every day for breakfast. Then, they alternate between portuguese sausage and regular sausage. Additionally they alternate between pancakes, french toast, or biscuits with gravy. The place itself is very nice. Just be aware that even if you have prepaid for your hotel, you have a pretty good bill coming when you check in."

"We booked a package through Expedia and got an ocean view suite room in the Diamond Head tower. We weren’t pleased with our room. When you walked in, it was the bedroom separated from the balcony/view. It was an absolute dungeon of a room. No windows, no natural light. The door was 2 feet from the bed. You heard everything outside. The bar with the live music, and every noise in the hallway. The living room had a pull out bed and that was where you saw the view of the ocean. We tried to get moved but had a list and didn’t get moved. If I did it again, I probably wouldn’t go through Expedia to get a nicer room. It felt like they put us on the top floor, all the way tucked back to the corner room because we booked through Expedia. Loved the location of the resort though. We stayed around the Hale Koa more than our own. Staff was super friendly. Food was insanely expensive. Shops were really cool but pricey."
