Long Hostel is on a street where there are many other hostels. Many travellers I met at the hostel who had been travelling around Vietnam, all said that this hostel so far has been the nicest. That says something about this hostel. Free breakfast provided from 7-10am with good food and drink options. Water fountain to fill your water bottles is available for all guests. Tours can be booked at reception very easily, with pick ups. Rooms were clean with large lockers for the backpacks to be stowed away, but unfortunately there are no curtains around each bed, no shelf for each bed to place their key items or a small light. These are not essential but it would be helpful. The room has a large fridge to keep drinks cold. The bathroom was small and it seems the norm that the shower is not divided from the toilet. So everything unfortunately gets wet. But they do provide sandals in the rooms for you to wear around the room and in bathroom. Sachets of shower gels were also provided. The hostel is located 2 mins from the food walking street and about 40 mins from the War Remnants Museum and City Hall. I would recommend this hostel where you can meet lots of people over the breakfast table. The staff all greet you with a smile and are helpful with any queries you may have. On leaving they kindly even booked a cab via the grab app for me, so I could get to the airport.

Long Hostel has an excellent location close to walkable sites. The staff are amazing and accommodating ... and lovely. The room is a little dated, but very clean. Some might find the bed a bit hard, but better than a soft bed I say! The free breakfast and drink is delicious and they also provide water and bananas. Incredible value for your money. Kindly tip the staff. They work so hard.

This was such a great hostel! Walk though a market to a cute alley with multiple hostels. I felt very safe at all times and it was easy to get around from here. Everyone that worked here was so incredibly nice and friendly! If I’m back in HCMC, I’d stay here again. Breakfast was great as well and there’s lots of food and coffee options that are a walkable distance away as well.

I made a reservation 3 months in advance. The hostel gave away my room so I was stuck with nowhere to go. Had to go to a different place and pay more. Would not recommend to stay at this place.

Best Hostel In Saigon/Ho Chi Minh City
One if the nicest places we've been staying, the rooms were a lot prettier than the pictures -great start! The service was formidable and all of the staff were so nice to us from start to end we even got to go on a roof top that wasn't really meant to be used! Great breakfeast selection, happy hour and location right in the heart of district 1! Because of the price we didn't expect too much but were blown away by how accommodating and nice the staff, people and atmosphere was at Long Hostel! If you ever visit Ho Chi Minh City you should stay here!

Fantastic manager and support staff, great location, close to everything you need to see. Other travelers seek this hostel out based on reputation so it seems the diversity is strong. We even met teachers with permanent jobs who choose to stay here for long term accommodation because it’s just that good. Even the breakfast is great. Try the banana pancake!

Very nice place, met lots of awesome people. Staff very friend sand give you a large breakfast with eggs, banana pancakes and fruit. Only issue was the bathroom shower not draining and floods the bathroom occasionally

A perfect choice for budget travelers
It is a quiet place to stay despite the central location and it being a hostel. No noises at night. The room and bathroom were in good condition and clean. The breakfast was lovely. You can choose to have an egg dish or pancake that are freshly made for you and a juice or coffee. They can help you booking tours. We booked the Cu Chi tunnels and a full day Mekong delta trip. Both were great. We were very happy with this stay.

Superb stay. Room was the best we have had so far. Very clean, large TV, excellent WiFi. Proper wardrobe and furniture, very comfy bed. Breakfast choices have all been good, great atmosphere about the place - staff can't do enough to help.

Great first hostel experience
We only stayed one night at the Long Hostel, but would have loved to stay longer. This was our first time staying at a hostel and we are very satisfied with our stay. First of all, our bus arrived too early in Ho Chi Minh City (4.30 am), but fortunately the hostel was open and not only did they let us store our luggage, but we also got to spend the rest of the early morning sleeping on the couch and armchair in the living room, very much appreciated! We also booked a tour to Cu Chi tunnels via the hostel and are very happy with our visit. Also, the free beers they give you every day is definitely a plus! We stayed in a small private room which was clean and comfortable and great for our stay here. All in all, we are very happy with our short stay here and would recommend it to anyone looking for good (and cheap!) accomodation in Ho Chi Minh City.

Great stay in the private room at long hostel. Two free beers every evening in reception makes it really sociable. Cu chi tunnels tour was really good and reasonable dropped us off at the war remnants museum for after too. Comfortable and quiet room despite noise downstairs. Great location near the walking street

I've stayed in dozens of hostels around the world, but this one underwhelmed me. The single room I stayed in was shabby (peeling wallpaper / moldy bathroom), and the blanket I received was stained (they did give me a new one when I asked). Its location was fine - 20 to 30 minutes to a number of key sites. That said the included breakfast was great (loved the banana pancakes!) and the front desk staff were very helpful in reserving a car pickup at the airport / calling a Grab car to the airport. I can't speak to the dorm rooms, but for the single room, I assume there are better options out there for a similar price.

Great value! Wonderful staff!
Very easy check in! When they gave me the key, they said it was happy hour. Two free beers for everyone staying there. I found the room to be clean and the bed and pillow very comfortable. It was my first stay in a hostile and it definitely will not be my last. Long hostel is the place to stay in District one!
