"An amazing place to stay if you want to experience the traditional Japan in a comfortable way. Chiko went out of her way yo help with many things and the Onsen is amazing with access all night. Convenient to the shuttle bus to Goryu which accesses Hakuba47. Our family had a wonderful stay!"

"Hotel was fantastic - location is ideal for snow access with one lift across the road (10 metres) and another two within a short walk. The runs at the resort at perfect for early beginners, but easily connect to the gondola for more experienced riders. Location is too far from restaurants to walk, a shuttle or taxi is required. We didn't mind, the food at the hotel was great and we preferred the excellent snow access. Staff were really helpful, picking us up from Hakuba Goryu and dropping us off on the way out. The food was really good - a few rotating buffets for breakfast including different types of eggs (scrambled, poached, boiled, omelette) and sides like bacon or pork or sausages. Dinner was wonderful each night - something different and Japanese plated for us along with a buffet selection or sides. Bathroom was small but serviceable, room size was otherwise good. I read some of the really negative reviews before coming and it made me incorrectly worried about the hotel - we had a great experience and I don't understand those reviewers at all. This was a great lodge like experience right on the snow."

"The location can't be beaten. The staff are wonderful and the rooms are clean and comfortable, they're also bigger than other's I've stayed in while in Japan. The complimentary bus to the supermarket is a great added bonus. Also keep an eye out for the troupe of Snow Monkeys that are often in the trees just below the apartment complex on the piste edge. "

"Owners are very nice ,the lady knows a bit of English. She made delicious breakfast. Bring your own towel, otherwise extra charge. Walking distance to Hkuba Goryu ski Resort about 5-10 min. My room included private bathroom and shower. "

Breakfast variety could improve with some option of Japanese gohan or the likes. The public onsen is something you can’t miss. Staff are mostly westerners so if you don’t speak Japanese, it’s complete fine and they are super helpful and friendly."
