"We loved this resort! Our family stayed there during Thanksgiving week in the fall. The view from the balcony was amazing, and waking up to the iconic Muskoka landscape was awesome. Clean room. The breakfast buffet was always fresh, and the amenities and activities were super convenient. Big thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable staff, from the front desk to maintenance and the restaurant/bar lounge. Much enjoyed our dinner and their Spanish coffee. A short drive to various attractions in Muskoka. We'll definitely stay there again."

"We stayed at Windermere House in October. The property and surroundings are beautiful, with obvious attention to guest comfort and convenience. We were treated wonderfully by all staff we encountered. Had we stayed longer than two nights, we would have used more of the many recreational and comfort facilities available. As it was, we enjoyed great meals at the restaurant (best apple cheesecake I've ever had) and pub, a lovely paddle on the water, swims in the pool, sauna, and my wife had a massage at the spa. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with superb views of the lake. There was moderate sound transfer between our room and the adjacent room, which is connected by a door between them. Our neighbors were not loud nor annoying so no issue for us during our stay. We would certainly plan another stay at WH if visiting that part of Ontario again. Loved it."

"This was my 2nd stay and l loved it even more than the 1st. I will be back in the future. Majestic views, comfortable location with almost all needs met. Owners were polite and available through text quickly. Rustic would be a word to share but also updated, clean and relaxing. Would be difficult for accessibility needs."

"This cabin is not as advertised. It is a 2 bedroom with a trundle cot in the living room. The hosts charged us 35 for a propane tank that died after less than 20 minutes of use. Although they replaced it once we spoke up, this seemed pretty sketchy.They also asked to take the trundle bed beneath the cot to give to another cabin on our first evening. We didn’t mind because the sheets on the trundle portion looked like they were still dirty from previous guests. The lake is beautiful, but the boats don’t have appropriate paddles to go with them. The cabin is so close to the adjacent ones that some people in our group were able to hear a baby crying throughout the night. The communication was also lacking prior to our check-in and we were required to bring our own toilet paper beyond one roll and towels for the weekend. Finally, I would also recommend that they invest in dish towels."

"The cottage was beautiful. We stayed for a concert and got a cab to Bala. Worked perfect for us for the night. Lots of space. Didn’t get a chance to spend a lot of time exploring the property but overall was very happy with it! "
