"I had an absolutely outstanding stay at Hotel Nohga Kyoto, and it is without doubt one of the finest hotels I have experienced. From the moment I arrived, the staff were exceptional in every possible way—welcoming, friendly, attentive, and unfailingly polite. Their warmth and professionalism created an atmosphere that made me feel genuinely valued as a guest. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and every interaction was delivered with a smile. The rooms were superb. They were beautifully presented, immaculately maintained, and extremely comfortable. In particular, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, making it easy to relax and get a great night’s sleep after a day exploring Kyoto. Breakfast was another highlight of the stay. The quality and variety were excellent, with a fantastic selection that made each morning something to look forward to. Everything was fresh, well prepared, and clearly chosen with care. The facilities throughout the hotel were outstanding and thoughtfully designed. I even had the opportunity to enjoy a morning sound bath session, which was expertly delivered and a wonderfully relaxing way to start the day. The other facilities at the hotel were excellent as well, contributing to an overall experience that combined comfort, wellbeing, and style. Overall, the level of service and attention to detail made this a truly memorable stay. I could not recommend Hotel Nohga Kyoto highly enough and will absolutely be recommending it to all. "Very clean and well located. Just around the corner from train station with good eateries nearby and many sites within walking distance or a train/bus ride away. Rooms are generously sized for Japan standards (didn't feel like a closet). We enjoyed our stay and would come back again. "

"What a beautiful experience we had at the ryokan. A perfect setting overlooking the lake, quiet, no noise from the town below. The staff was very kind and courteous, always helpful in assisting us with our questions. We learned about Japanese culture and had a wonderful experience; definitely get the dinner, it was worth it. I highy recommend this place, 10 out of 10. We will certainly be back again next time we visit Japan. "

"Magical, simply magical. That is the only way to describe this place. From arrival to egress, the people there made us feel welcome and well taken care of. Breakfast and Dinner were served everyday and you do NOT want to miss them. I'm a large guy and I thought I wouldn't get full, I was wrong. The Ryokan is immaculate and the grounds are spectacular. We had planned to spend a day in Kyoto but we spend so much time wandering around the shrines, shops, cafes, and coffee houses we never made it into the city. This place was perfect. I can't recommend it enough! "
