Had a wonderful experience at this hotel. Rooms were in great condition. Staff are so helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was ok, but there’s also some great little cafes nearby too. Would definitely stay again.

I had a wonderful stay! The rooms were neat and refreshed daily with everything I needed. One of my favorite perks was the free coffee and tea, which you can enjoy in their cozy lobby area. They serve a straightforward mix of Western and Japanese breakfast to start your day. Located on a quiet side street, it’s the perfect peaceful retreat after a day of exploring Kyoto.

We enjoyed our stay at Oakwood. The staff were welcoming and helpful and the rooms were large for Japanese hotel standards and were very clean. The hotel is conveniently located, but in a quieter area, so you don’t hear a lot of noise. We would happily stay here again!

The staff at this property were so helpful from the minute we came in. The hotel staff member who helped us in English and was very friendly. He assisted us with luggages, and let us know of all the great amenities the hotel included, like coin laundry, free drinks in the lobby, and so much more. The property as soon as you come in smells amazing. Overall. I believe this property was my favorite stay in Japan. I could definitely see us staying there again. And they also do luggage transfers which is very convenient!
