My presence seemed to be an annoyance to the staff. A card in the room reassured and guaranteed that any issue could be resolved in approx 15mins, however this didn't seem to include helping with a forgotten tube of toothpaste for which I was abruptly directed to an external kiosk as the hotel did not provide vanity sets.
Additionally, I ordered some food (a sandwich, sweet and drink) from the hotel on arrival, and was notified after approx 20mins that it was ready for collection from reception. I made my way down and was surprised to be ignored by the front of house team - when I was finally able to catch their attention and ask about collecting my meal I was rudely informed that another colleague would be bringing it through and that I should wait patiently. This was disrespectful and unnecessary.
All in all, not a positive experience despite a comfortable stay. I had booked rooms for myself and 7x colleagues, and will be sure to look at alternative accommodation in the future.
