Great value well located clean and tidy hotel
I thought this was a very decent hotel for the price. Nothing fancy but a good sized room in good condition and very clean and comfortable. Location is great if you want to be close to the Reeperbahn party district, and it's right by the St Pauli U-bahn station too. I'd happily stay here again

Poor service
I booked this room for my parents and my 12 year old nephew! When they arrived they only had a double bed. When they went to ask at reception for an additional bed as we had booked it online with the extra bed they said they did not have one and that my parents and 12 year old nephew had to share a bed. I find this highly unprofessional, and resulted in us having a terrible sleep after a 15 hour drive from England. When booking online and requesting such amenities if they are not available we should have been told at the time of booking, however not once did we get told prior to our arrival. The double bed was hardly big enough for two people let alone having to put a 12 year old on the bed too. I would not be recommending this hotel to anyone, and will also be forwarding this email onto the customer service for the hotel.

The hotel bar area was undergoing refurbishment while we were there.this meant we could not get any food or drinks in the evening and an e-mail advising this before we arrived would have been appreciated.

Good beds, poor service.
My presence seemed to be an annoyance to the staff. A card in the room reassured and guaranteed that any issue could be resolved in approx 15mins, however this didn't seem to include helping with a forgotten tube of toothpaste for which I was abruptly directed to an external kiosk as the hotel did not provide vanity sets. Additionally, I ordered some food (a sandwich, sweet and drink) from the hotel on arrival, and was notified after approx 20mins that it was ready for collection from reception. I made my way down and was surprised to be ignored by the front of house team - when I was finally able to catch their attention and ask about collecting my meal I was rudely informed that another colleague would be bringing it through and that I should wait patiently. This was disrespectful and unnecessary. All in all, not a positive experience despite a comfortable stay. I had booked rooms for myself and 7x colleagues, and will be sure to look at alternative accommodation in the future.

Very good value in a great location.
Stayed one night here. Hotel is one block north of Reeperbahn. 5-minute walk to S-Bahn (S1, S3 lines ) Reeperbahn station or S-Bahn (S1, S3 lines) Landungsbrucken station (which is the stop for the harbour tour boats). Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. Staff were excellent. The room was clean. IBIS is a brand of the Accor hotel corporation so you can use your Accor-1 frequent stayer card.

A budget hotel in St Pauli will never be anything to write home about. Functional, comfortable, Basic and close to the metro station and 'entertainment'. Typical IBIS decor. Didn't eat the breakfast so no comment. The only genuine negative from my stay is the constant noise of drilling coming from the building Between 0745 and 1830, the sound of drills trying to enter my room from all directions. I understand work is required from time to time, and it wasn't at night, but it drove me mad for the time I was in the room during the day.

Good place to stay for a short trip
Nice place, quietly situated only one block from Reeperbahn... hotel is budget likely, and there is is not much comfort. otherwise the breakfast is OK and the restaurant nice.

In the wonderfully interesting part of Hamburg - St Pauli, this hotel is just what you need: Clean, inexpensive, welcoming and in (in my opinion) the best area of Hamburg! Didn't have the breakfast but I'm sure it's good as Ibis's always are.
