Carmen behind the check-in desk was amazing. One of our reasons for picking the hotel was the pool and its proximity to the Hawthorne Community, where he had lived! The service from hotel staff was friendly and efficient! The breakfast had a good choice of food to choose from that my picky eater found something she liked and enjoyed! The room was clean and comfortable the lobby was clean and comfortable area! All staff we encountered were friendly and kind!"

"Decent place to stay. It’s furnished but little else. No frills. It’s on the water but you can only see the water from master bedroom window. We were hardly there so it served our purpose as an alternative to two hotel rooms for friends. Overflow parking and the HVAC unit is right outside second bedroom window."

"Very rustic looking on outside but beautifully decorated and clean inside. Double size bed took a little getting used to and kitchen table was small. Very nice walk-in shower.. Hosts were very helpful and provided some nice extras. We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking out over the water at many different birds and some fishermen."

"What a gem!! This hotel is more like a resort, but with the charm of an old, southern, colonial estate. It’s gorgeous! The rooms even have regular keys with a little brass key tag with your room number. The rooms were clean, have great a/c and tv, and a very comfortable bed. There’s no microwave or fridge which was fine, we don’t use them. The pool was huge and well kept, and overlooked the lake just like the pictures suggest. The staff was welcoming and super helpful. We walked into town and although we found it a bit overpriced, lots of shopping and dining available. We already have plans to stay again soon!"
