Prospector's Bend - Hot Tub, Riverfront, Fishing

"The property was delightful to stay at. If the shrubbery was trimmed in front of the windows so you can see the river better, it would be nice. The mattress was super comfortable and my wife and I slept very well.We did feel that more comfortable living room furniture could be acquired; short backed chairs and a couch that you slide out of.There were no check out instructions sent to us or posted at the property. I contacted the host but their response was after we hit the road. However, we had completed the tasks prior to leaving and all was good. Thanks for letting us stay in this home. It was restful."

"My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Gold Bar. The house was very comfortable for two people. My only suggestion would be to add a small built-in closet in the sitting area of the master bedroom. We were attending a wedding that weekend and there wasn’t anywhere to hang up our suits, shirts, dresses and blouses."

Riverfront Cabin: Iconic Mt. Index Views & Hot Tub

Riverfront Cabin: Iconic Mt. Index Views & Hot Tub

8/10 Good
"This is a stunning cabin that has been beautifully decorated. The setting on the river was very peaceful. I literally sat on the deck and red for hours at at time. We loved taking a swim in the river at the community's private "beach" and appreciated the quantity of beach towels. The kitchen has all of the pots/pans needed to cook meals (which we did almost every evening) and the heated floors in the bathroom are lovely to feel underfoot rather than cold tiles.Just things for future renters to be aware of. The neighboring cabins are very very close by to the point that you can easily hear conversations held at a normal volume. There was a small (and rather loud) child staying there during our stay. While it didn't bother us, if you're looking for complete privacy and quiet, this may not be the place for you. It's also quite remote, so be aware that restaurants and full grocery shopping is pretty limited outside of a town 30 minutes to the west. Lastly, the bed in the master bedroom was much too soft for me. It didn't bother my husband, but after three nights, I needed to sleep on the firmer bed in the guest room. Overall, though it was a great experience and the owner's communication was outstanding!"
