"We thoroughly enjoy the authentic experience and hospitality at Ishibekoji MUAN.
Would highly recommend to other looking for the traditional old town vibe, with close proximity to all the attractions."
"Amazing location, amenities, free perks, we even have our very own maiko show with free drinks, and the owners were very nice and happy to help with any questions. "
"The property itself felt a little less hip and young than places we typically stay, but it was such a comfortable stay. The bed & soaking tub was a dream, the location and staff top notch. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"Excellent hotel in the heart of Kyoto. 9 restaurants and a health food market downstairs. Beautiful amenities, and the room we’ve stayed in was absolutely beautiful and comfortable. The Concierge was always top-notch helpful. The access to the VIP lounge daily was a bonus. I’ve gotten an amazing massage from the spa. Highly recommend. 10 out of 10. "
"Very well located to all key sites. Clean and very comfortable large rooms. English speaking stsff was helpful. Right in the heart of Gion. Excellent location yet still quiet and peaceful. "
"Quite possibly the best location you can ask for. Close to everything yet on a fairly quiet street. We stayed here 9 nights! Totally recommend. Tons of shopping and dining options. Quiet and comfortable rooms. "
"Amazing location, clean room, everything you need nearby and more. Slight walk for transport, but still very close. Would definitely recommend staying here in Kyoto. "
"Looved our stay! This hotel is honestly best of both worlds, property is very peaceful and beautiful, with rooms that match the aesthetic and made it honestly our favorite stay during our Japan trip. The hotel is next to a grocery store for all the easy convenience items and across the street from a Konbini. as well as a 2-3 minute walk from a metro station. We unfortunately didn't get to try the onsen but we did see lots of people down there, and the free amenities at our disposal (hot chocolate, ice cream, tea, sodas, etc) were all a very welcome treat after a long day out and about! My *only* comment would be that our room didn't have any views since we were facing the side of the building, in fact there was a structure just outside the window and behind that was the next building. That being said we didn't spend much time there during the day so didn't make much of a difference to us. If views are something that matter to you make sure you get a front facing room! Would definitely stay again!"
