"It's always risky to choose a hotel in a foreign country from your computer, but I really lucked out on this choice. Hotel degli Orafi is a class operation in a perfect location. Right next to the Ponte Vecchio and Uffizi Museum, blocks from the Duomo and a seemingly endless choice of restaurants. I stayed for one night in a really cute little room. Small, but so well appointed. I left for Tuscany for a week and returned for 2 nights. They upgraded me to a suite which was a real surprise but much appreciated. This room was more Nordic in feel - very modern and clean but not as warm and cozy as my first room.
The staff were all very helpful and professional during my stay and the breakfast buffet was very large and delicious."
