Yes..very enjoyable stay. Clean and comfortable roomwith doors leading to balcomy. Ladies bathroom door could be fixed to lock properly but plenty of clean linen and discount on meals in dining room for Hotel guests.

Room was small but suited the purpose when in a bind. Food was good & staff are easy to get on with. Gets a little loud at times but that comes with the territory. It meets the standards that you would expect when staying at a pub. Friendly atmosphere. I would recommend this place if you are looking for somewhere to lay your head & get some shuteye for a reasonable price.

If you visit the proud and plentiful Lake Apex region, to embrace A true beg one era of a vibe of Australiana, it is a must to enjoy the hospitality of The Royal. The view is priceless. My fav in Gatton, always, it’s a home away from home for travelers.

Good accommodation for a good price. Can hear other guests walking past the room and sometimes the people outside. This mite be a problem for very light sleepers, but I suspect some rooms would be quieter than others. Good budget accommodation and great location.

Although it can be difficult bringing up my luggage by walking up a narrow staircase, once up there, I enjoyed the cool breeze from the veranda outside of my hotel room. The beer was cold and the air conditioning in my room was nice and cold as well. The staff were welcoming as well as the local customers. I would try this venue again.

These old pubs always have character. The accommodation area was secure and everything was clean and nicely painted but still with all the original features like VJ walls and pressed metal ceilings. My room was at the back and there was no noise from the bar (it was a Saturday night) just the slight hum of the IGA refrigeration which was not enough to worry me. Had everything I needed and a bargain for the price.

Amazing value. The room I had was much nicer than the photo on Expedia. It had a large balcony too. I was expecting a typical bare-bones room above a pub, usually a depressing and grim experience. Not here! The staff and management were very helpful and very nice. A complimentary drink in the pub upon check-in (other Aussie pubs take note!). The food was great and good value. The locals are colourful and good-natured. So glad I came here that I plan to come back.

Rocked up after a 2&1/2 hour drive to find friendly and helpful enough staff to navigate me to my room when I got there room was clean but no towels, no big bed as in the picture and definitely no mention of a 2am gaming room below the accommodation. Hence no sleep for me until after 2am! Definitely won’t be booking another night there anytime soon

Room as very clean and tidy, it’s an old pub, but we didn’t hear any noise overnight, at first was concerned about no in room toilets and shower, but they were both handy and clean. Would stay there again if passing through.
