"A premium property for a very enjoyable stay. Very clean, very cosy with top quality linen. The property is in a quiet location with beautiful gardens to be enjoyed from the verandah. It’s an easy walk to the Main St restaurants and cafes. The heated bathroom floors are a real treat for the cooler months."

"Great value for money, this hotel is good for a short weekend getaway. Located in beautiful gardens with lots of birds and historic buildings. For an old building it was maintained well and reasonably clean. Our only issue was the noise from adjoining rooms, but otherwise I would certainly stay again."

"This looked nothing like the photos. It was dark, dingy, dirty and horrible. The view was of the rubbish skips. The bathroom window on the ground floor was transparent- full outside view of toilet and shower. Property was in need of repair. It smelt, was poorly, was noisy. We couldn’t stay, had to find alternate accommodation but did not receive a refund. Would Definately not recommend."

"The hotel was lovely, very clean & felt luxurious. The staff were friendly, courteous & helpful, breakfast was nice and the amenities & hotel overall were great. We were there during a hot period in Summer & while the air conditioning in the room was adequate, the common areas & hallways got very hot & uncomfortable at times throughout the day - due to a lack of air conditioning in some of those spaces. We were also there over a public holiday & were extremely disappointed at the price-gouging that the bar & restaurant slugged us with. As the hotel is in a regional / reasonably remote location, they have a "captive audience" on Sundays & public holidays (given the lack of other dining options nearby), so to slug guests with such a high surcharge seemed opportunistic, unnecessary & unfair. Sure... people who are not staying in the hotel & just drinking / dining for the night could be charged a surcharge, but to slug guests with it just seemed wrong. It's a hotel for goodness sake, so of course staff will be working odd hours & days, but that is the cost of doing business for a hotel... & the room rate itself was high enough to cover staffing costs in all areas of the hotel at all times."

"Good location. Cute cabin - be prepared … it’s VERY small! We were there at a quiet time of year and the park was very pleasant. I imagine it could get very busy in peak season. Good location. Quite expensive compared to other places we have stayed on our trip in Victoria, especially for such a small cabin."

"What an amazing position and nice quite spot. I did not mind that the decore and furniture were old but the shower was really dirty on the base and bottom of the screen and a thick layer of dust on the skirtings. There we thick cobwebs on the outside of the kitchen window too. Place needs a deep clean by professionals."
