"Amazing stay, wish we'd stayed more than one night. Easy to get to with the train and shuttle bus, but I'd recommend sending your luggage ahead of time as the train and shuttle have limited space and get busy. Great buffet food, but limited vegetarian options for my wife."

"The hotel was amazing and would definitely recommend. The rooms were spacious and clean, the futons were very comfortable. Our room had a private onsen which was a highlight. The kaiseki dinner was very delicious and well thought also to accommodate our kids. The breakfast included a wide variety of foods. The gardens of the hotel were very beautiful and peaceful- we enjoyed walking there many times a day. The hotel staff was kind and very helpful! The bus service to the nearby stations worked well. All in all, a near perfect stay, a very special experience and would definitely recommend!"

The only amenity was the onsen bath, which had separate facilities for men and women, so we couldn’t enjoy it together as a family. Overall, the experience did not justify the high price, and we felt we didn’t get good value for the money."
