My stay was very enjoyable. Hotel was adequate but very clean, staff friendly and helpful, lots of restaurants in the same street as the hotel and only a few minutes from tourist centre and train station.

A bit antiquated, but nonetheless comfy. Very handy to the train station and attractions. Some great cafes, bars and restaurants clise by.

Location, was convenient, near the station, and main streets, easy to find.
I liked its proximity to the main point of interest, train station and restaurants. Definitely, I’m staying there again for the next time either Hotel Monica or Mario’s.
This hotel was amazing - beautiful, spacious bathroom, working aircon, and the staff were so helpful. If we ever come back to Florence I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Next to the train station and within the historic centre of Florence, so is very convenient.
Despite choosing a triple room, the room was not set up as such and instead we had to request this the next day.
Property was dated but generally well maintained and clean. Towels were replaced daily.
Cold breakfast was included daily and generally good.

Economical hotel stay.
Noice can be heard easily from other rooms. Old building but clean room. It is two star hotel so can’t expect much. Very close to central Station and all tourist spots.
We were very pleased with our stay at Hotel Monica. The room was clean and comfortable. It was about a 10 minute walk to the train station and about 15 minutes to the main tour bus location. It was also convenenti to the Duomo. Even though there was no elevator, the staff cheerfully carried our bags both up and back down when we were coming and going which was a big help for 2 seniors. We highly recommend it.
Comfortable room for a single traveller with clean bathroom. Rather noisy due to being right above and next door to the Indian restaurant and its kitchen.
Good situation close to main station and 10 minute walk to the Duomo.
No lift and also strange check-in and check-out system at the sister hotel 50 metres away.
Nice breakfast arrangement with outside terrace.

Good location (near station and Accademy). Check in was at another hotel but very friendly and helpful. Room was basic and clean. Terrace area was lovely & though on busy street room was quiet. Breakfast was as expected, basic but enough.
There was no bar which details said there was, so assume you go to the other hotel. As I was travelling alone with my daughter I wanted an area that was away from the room but inside the hotel after a long day of walking before bed, so that was a shame, otherwise very happy with choice for price.

I knew it was a shared bathroom. But not with 9, yes NINE, other rooms. That was a bit much. So the bathroom was not always the cleanest. At least our room had a sink so that helped. And the best part of our room was the French doors leading to a private balcony deck!! So you climb stairs to her to the rooms. Big deal. You are there to sleep.band the room was always made up for us.

Hotel Monica is a convenient little place within walking distance of all major attractions. For the price, you shouldn't expect luxury, and the rooms are smallish and sparse - ours had a strong smell of camphor, like the furniture had come from a granny's house. This being said, check-in and check-out were speedy and efficient, the prices were amazing, and the room was scrupulously clean. Highly recommend the breakfast - you won't have the choice you'd have in a hotel, but what they do have is good, especially the croissants and fresh fruit. We happened to coincide with very noisy young guests, but there was no noise from the street, and there are cafes and restaurants all around. The rating for the staff doesn't mean they were nice, simply that we didn't interact enough to have much to say. I do recommend this as a decent budget stay, again well located and a short walk from the airport tram. Would stay again :)
I recently stayed at Hotel Monika in Florence and had a mixed experience. The location was convenient, being close to the train station and boasting an amazing Indian restaurant on the ground floor. However, the check-in process was peculiar, as guests are directed to another hotel, Mario, to speak with staff. Upon arrival at Hotel Monika, we found only two staff members, who were difficult to locate within the hotel.Furthermore, the breakfast options were disappointingly limited, prompting us to opt for breakfast outside the hotel. I would advise against booking rooms with breakfast included.Additionally, the entry of the hotel left much to be desired. Its poor condition failed to leave a good impression, contrary to the saying "first impression is last." One thing to add that they don’t have an elevator at hotel.
Overall, while the location and restaurant were highlights, the check-in process, limited breakfast options, and poor entry condition detracted from the overall experience at Hotel Monika.

Overall it was good, very close to the train station one minute what made it convenient.
Very convenient location to all of florence and in a safe area! There are plenty of local cafés, restaurants, and shops right in the streets around the hotel. Hotel was all that we needed for our stay and the room was clean! Would stay here again!
