"Ideal location just off M6. Wasn’t as clean as usual"

"The inside of the hotel is far nicer than it looks from the outside. We booked a dog friendly family room. The room was clean, the beds comfy. The bathroom was well fitted and the shower was really poweful, which was pleasing. Overall very happy. The breakfast was quite nice, with good quality ingredients. Two 'even better if' s'. 1) The coffee in the morning was not good. It was dispensed out of a big urn. Not great quality/choice and not hot. 2) squeeky floorboards. I would stay there again. "

"I paid for a family room as it was my wife and my son travelling for a football tournament. I paid around about £192 for the room for one evening. When we got into the room, there were no lamps or bedside table lamps. I asked at reception if we could get a lamp, as I like to read at night before I go to bed, and was told the only light available was the ceiling lights. They did not have any spare. I can't believe a hotel does not have table lamps or bed lamps, or that they could not accommodate me. I had to go and buy one from Tesco for the night, which was very disappointing. I have never in all my years been to a hotel where they do not have table or reading lights, and we have to rely upon using the large light in the ceiling. "

"Hotel tired and in need of updating. Dirty pillow cases! Heating in room not working, electric fan heater provided with feet missing - potential fire hazard! Staff very friendly, polite welcoming, attentive and happy! Food great, bar service great. Attention to food allergy great! "

"Hotel location is excellent for the shopping centre 10 min walk ,we were booked at ifly which was literally a 10min drive only thing letting it down was the breakfast everything was under cooked and cold but MC donalds is over the road ."

"Lots of convenient parking. The breakfast was great with freshly cooked food to order and plenty of fruit and pastries. The bedroom was larger than average with two upholstered chairs and bathroom with a real bath."

"Breakfast has a great variety to suit all including healthy options which I usually find difficult, so I was very impressed. The quality of the food is excellent overall and the staff are very helpful. Coupe not fault the service. I did not give 5 stars because I would have dusted the bedroom better myself. Yes I am fussy, so I expect a hotel room to be as clean as my home when I pay for it. "
