Staff were excellent in helping out with multiple things. Building is beautiful, but rooms are unfortunately tired. We had to swap rooms due to shower issue - but as said, staff were fab with this. Breakfast good, and our booking (at a sale) was good value for money

Lovely comfy room in the main building. Staff were friendly and helpful. Beautiful surroundings. Dinner was good but the only downside was the scrambled eggs were very cool on arrival to my table at breakfast. But I’ve stayed here before and would stay again.
The room was clean and had everything we needed. It was very quiet and we both had an excellent nights sleep on the very comfortable bed. The lounge bar was very nice and we had a lovely meal, we had a dog with us so could not eat in the main restaurant but the lounge bar was lovely and it was certainly no hardship eat there.
The staff were all so pleasant and helpful and it made for a most enjoyable stay.
Three family rooms, 5 adults, 4 children. Good stay, staff excellent. Hotel and rooms are tired but large and clean. Overall good stay and would use again. Breakfast was fantastic.
Beautifull buiding and welcoming staff. This hotel has had a chequered recent history but is well on its way to becoming a first class venue again. Excellent.
Overall I'm very happy with my stay. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The staff are excellent and even printed out some historic information for my son who is studying the Victorian era in school.
